I get a lot of funny stuff emailed to me from friends or I find on youtube. But I know theres a lot of young people here at the mag.
I was thinking the same idea that you had the "club mag" set up. That if we can send you a photo ID proof of age that you can let the mag have a place for it?

I'm pretty sure I could handle it for my age.

I think the problem is that we're afraid that some parent is gonna complain if they see something like that crop up. I mean, who's to stop somebody from going into something they would find offensive? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Club Mag available to anybody who earned a certain amount of posts? Yeah, that just wouldn't work out. Even with an age restriction, it'd be too easy to show yourself as older.

I'm gonna agree with Dray, having people complain would not be good for the mag.

Oh, we already get people that complain. We just don't want people who complain about content.

Someone could just get someones i.d. off of the computer anyways.

Even if we mail in our I.Ds? That part of the mag will only be aloud to 18+ members.

What happends if your id gets lost in the mail?

I'm not saying its a bad idea, I'm just trying to act as a defendant, since no one else will.

If thats the case then theres thousands of companies that are at risk. I think your a bit too worried about fraud. And if there is fraud, that person will be in more deep then just a bit of adult chat.

Like I said, I think its a great idea and it should be implemented, but its a little too much trouble.

Besides, it'd be waaay too much work for whoever'd moderate a forum which requires such strict requirements to enter. It would be too much sacrifice for little benefit.

I'm almost sure the Mag's politics about posting adult content is "don't"... the thing about complaining parents makes too much sense to be disagreed with.

the mag is actually about RPG's - doesn't really require an adult forum.

Whereas the Mag was founded with respect to RPG's, I don't know that one can fairly say that presently it IS actually about RPG's.

Even if all the forum tools: Chat/Opinion/Creativity are used exclusively for RPG's only (which they are not), some of us actually want to make and discuss AO (Adults Only) RPGs.

The community section is entitled 'Community' because that's what it is. It's for everyday life and other interests of the members to help create just that - community.
If a member decides to make an adult game, i believe it can be discussed in their dev studio and that will be fine. creating an adult game doesn't actually mean posting pr0n and major detail - which would be what an adult forum in the community section would be used for. As you can imagine a developer would need to use some discretion in making an adult game. Discretion is a fact of life. Upon posting the game (if we accept games of that nature. I don't actually know that for a fact but I believe we do) the proper warnings would be put in place and as most things on the internet playing it would be left, again, to the viewers own discretion.

If you really really want to talk in more detail about an adult subject or game we have a private messaging system and most members have at least one other way of contacting them (email, msn, aim, yim, etc). Naturally this doesn't give anyone the right to incessantly spam another member with stuff they dont' want to know or see.

As it is we don't exactly have a pleothora of adult oriented games, there is nothing to warrent the need for an adult game forum. So for now you'll just have to use your adult discretion in regards to adult content.

Yeah, this place accepts adult games. We've got Leisure Suit Larry 8, at least.
