Invision Power Boards. Why not give it a shot? In my opinion, they are much more powerful then phpBB (The one the mag uses.). I have set up an Invision for DragonShadow, and prefer it much more than phpBB.

phpBB is MUCH more powerful.

it's like linux. you gotta know how to use it.
but it's harder to learn.
(i'm assuming. i dont' actually have any idea about how to use these boards =P i'm all client side)

Well if they wouldn't take their sweet time with 3 then yeah. 3 is going to be much better, as basically it will incorporate all the most popular mods, and it will finally be like the big boys such as vBulletin and others.

Also Invision power boards cost money, phpBB does not.

Invision free boards however are no where near as powerful as phpBB, assuming one knows how to code in php, or how to find and install MODs for phpBB.

Yep. I was making the comparison to invisionfree, as we are NOT going to be paying for our forums, separate from our server bill.

Also, there is another major reason that we won't be changing to anything new right now, but that is private for the time being.

I never understood how to use phpBB fully, so yeah. I liked Invision cuz it was easy to me.

So, let's continue to use phpBB.

Basically these boards are too new and haven't skrewed us, yet. ...Er, not yet! I mean, there won't be a yet!
