Right now I'm spending a lot of time figuring out how they work, and I'll right down how I used them to move my story along in the hopes that'll help you guys out on figuring out how it works.

Ok now I've figured out some things about Varibles and how they can be used. Now if you've played RPG maker 1 you can kinda use Varibles as
Switches, but here is the core difference between the two. Switches are
constant, meaing that they can only be turned on or off on the other hand
a Varible can be used in there diffrent ways primary. To have events
happen before a big event happens, use it to cause the big event to happen, and use it to say what happens after the big event happens.
Here's an example.

Say Zach goes off on an adventure and his home town is all fine and dandy. Lets say this happens with Shared Varible 1 is >5.
So then a Molevent force comes to the town after he's been on an adventure for a while, this happens with Shared Varible 1 is =5
and the after math is shown when Shared Varible 1 is <5.

You could also use a combination of varibles(Both Shared and Internal) inorder for events to happen.
Such as if you keep a Shared Varible (Lets use Varble 25 for ex) as a Constant varible (Meaing you'll always keep it one number, like switches)
you could use a Character or a Maps internal varible in tandam with it

So for example Character Jessica will say "Sure is a nice day out" when Shared Varible 25=5 and her internal varible 1=0
Then you'll have an event happen where you can add plus one to Jessica's interal varible
(But please note, that if you want somebodies Varible to go up one, make sure you only have this happen once when a person talks, or each time you go to that event, the Varible will add one, and the event you want to happen will not.)
So Jessica will say "The Festial is starting soon Zach, are you going?"
When Shared Varible 25=5 and Jessica's Internal Varible 1=1
and you can keep Using this until you have it the way you want it.

I hope that this will help you understand varibles better. And if you have any question just ask.
