I'd buy a copy just to see what it's like, but I can neither afford it, nor read Japanese.

Nope, not gonna get it. Even ignoring the "having to learn Japanese" part, I want to first find out how game-trading is handled.

That's the main reason I want to get it.

I'd probably not be able to figure it out, though. But I'm sure it won't be long before someone who is fluent in Japanese will post every excruciating detail of the game on the net.

There's always a fallback plan for swapping games over the net. I think it was you, Thutmose, that said something about the DS having an Action Replay... which can transfer saves, right? That would be the less morally conflicting method.

Yeah. The Action Replay Media Edition (http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/Acti ... 00642.aspx) can read game-cart saves, transfer them to the computer, and transfer them onto another game-cart.
