I can't help but notice some odd trends I've followed since I've started working on RPGMaker back in 2005.

-A new game by me will either be released on May or August. Any updates to a pre-existing game are uploaded on June 1st.

-I get a lot of motivation to begin working on a game directly after a new RPGM Digest.

-I'm most motivated in the spring, and the least in winter.

And that's about me. What about you?

im very similar. i typically get very motivated in spring and dont get much done in winter. i pause in the summer and pick it up late fall. i set release dates for the same times as you have. its all about season, free time, and motivational curves.

Interesting. My Daniel's Quest III was released in August of last year.
I find that if I have free time, that's the best time for me to get work done, but as Karr mentioned, the level of inspiration has A LOT to do with it too.

Yeah, also, I'm most motivated when I see other people doing things with a maker as well, like a new release of the mag or a game thread with some new interesting ideas.
