we havent had a preview done in almost a year and its been two years or more since we actively started doing any previews so id like to do a few so we dont look so pathetic.

the rules of a preview are simple. (http://www.rpgmmag.com/preview_faq.php)

-it must be a demo that hasnt been released to the site.
-it should be a game still in production.
-this must be sent to the previewer (me in this case).

what i will then do is preview the game:

-commenting on the pros and cons.
-i will do a summery of the game features and content.
-conduct an interview with you, the developer.


finally i will release everything with my final commentary on the game and what potential i feel it will reach. additionally i may do a small featurette for the upcoming mag issue but ill have to clear all that with ix and staffers more closer to the date.


hopefully this will turn out to be a good drive for our game creators, and maybe boost game releases for the summer. if your interested in this opportunity then please reply here.

My current project, "Warriors Of Altos", might reach demo status in a short while. Depends on how quickly I'm able to set up some key stuff. Incidentally, I was thinking of maybe releasing a demo with the first field, town, and first couple dungeons as playable. I'm not sure how big a demo needs to be. But that game is for RPG Maker 3.

If you're interested, I could definitely accomodate you when it's ready to be a demo, and then delay the demo's release for a while.

I'll send you a copy of Holy-Chaos: Mirage of Destiny in a week or so. It's not so much a demo, but the first scenario card. I would love to hear some positive criticism.

i still need to purchase rpg maker 3 else id certainly play your game xix. id be happy to preview mr lausen's game though. let me know when your ready and ill take a gander. i have a bit of room on my plate for a few more previews. perhaps around 2 more? if response is good then ill take on a few more when i finish with the first haul.

RPG Maker 1 gets all the love from you guys, and RPG Maker 3 gets no respect. It would've been a good opportunity to show my work and maybe generate some player interest.

Relax, dude, he didn't say he'd never get RPGM3. Besides, at least RPGM3 gets attention. RPGM2 may have the hype, but it's largely ignored.

Demo that's not on the site, huh? I might fix up my new Slayers' Reign demo. Dunno, yet.

I've just never gotten any official press on the Mag yet, and, y'know, it'd be nice to have someone preview the game because I think it's gonna turn out pretty good. Gonna be way better than aight.

id be happy if someone else would like to preview some games too. i dont want to take all the work.

I was planning on reviewing every RM3 game on the site after my current project is finished. I'm not sure how to preview something. I suppose I'd just play the demo and offer my thoughts on how promising it is. Are there any RM3 games I could preview?

you just gota ask like i did here. the outline for previews and reviews in my first post.

And if all else fails, just use an existing preview as an outline.

Hey Karr, here's the first scenario card of Holy-Chaos: Mirage of Destiny if you still plan on previewing it. The problem is it's in PS3 format. I'll try to see if anyone can convert it for me.

Hmm, I just thought of something.

I've gone over the list of RPG Maker 3 games in the vault many times, and just have never really downloaded and played them. I got to thinking that, if you're using the RPGM3 to make a game, I'll gladly testplay the games you create for it for you if you'd like and provide constructive criticism or write a review even. If anyone is interested, please send a private message to me to let me know that you need somebody to test out your game(s). I don't have the most ample amounts of time, but when I do get a chance, I do go all out. Might even give me a chance to gain some new ideas for future projects.

I'm also probably going to need somebody to playtest my demo/game soon to help me go over finding any errors/bugs/grammar. In probably a month, I may require somebody if they are interested.

i just recieved two games. one from 1ce of his old game usuru, and the second from lausen for his game holy chaos.

since this topic was about previewing games i am going to preview lausens first then work on usuru's review next.
