hey everyone. i was making an RPG on RPG maker 1 and the damn thing started to stop working. i managed to load it once more and save some critical data, cahracters, items, spells, classes, etc. but lost most of the script i made. now i can't access it cause my copy of RPG Maker 1 broke :'(

thankfully, the critical data is safe on my comp so i'm going to translate it onto RPG Maker 2 (wish me luck on that ) and here's the info and overall plot.

Prologue
The planet Resair, home to a race of humanoid dragons who call themselves Resairans. One day, a necromancer shows and starts ravaging the land. He is stopped by a group of warriors from different backgrounds and he fled, but killed two of the warriors in the process.

2 months later, he returned to continue what he started. He has devised a plan that could mean the end of Resair. The one who stopped him takes up his sword again and tries to stop the maniacal being once and for all.

Author Note: I know, I know, the whole "villain wants to destroy the world" bit is overplayed, but it's how the story's told helps change it

Characters
Justice: The hero who stopped Velexan the first time. He's only called Justice because of his zero tolerance for corruption, and will destroy any government with it (basically a well known vigilante)

Taira: A half human, half demon rune user who can destroy anything. She has runes covering her entire right arm that can often make her immune to physical attacks.

Balthar: A mage who specializes in fire based magic. He has a fire amplifying tattoo on his back that gives him a chance to increase the damage done by his spells by double or more.

Alexander: Named himself after Alexander the Great, he is a Vellian (another race) pacifist who tries to avoid armed conflict whenever possible. Carries a large scythe with him all times.

Velexan: Insane Necromancer who wants to destroy Resair. Summons legions of undead and places them in the way of Justice. Nearly impossible to hit physically as he'll teleport away fast.


i can't really put more into it, like i said, most of my script was lost when my RPG Maker 1 disc broke i hope i can learn how to use RPG Maker 2 and attempt to redo most of what was lost.

its not too bad, does need a bit of work in both the plot and characters. try to break away from the common stereotypes and create something more unique. the twists you throw in is what will make your game stand up. with twists, even a stock plot can reach new heights.

i started that RPG a long time ago, and only started recently working on it. another RPG i was working on had a war going on while the main villain stayed off until later on
