How many people have actually tried making a movie or such with RPGMaker? I believe Tabloid is one on RPGM2, and the Mutantic Fallout was a planned one if my instincts are correct. Any others? Your thoughts?

I have tried and it's pretty tough. Not in the gameplay aspect but designing a movie with a good script and quality story is the tough task at hand.

The only thing about movies is that you would have to be creative if the person playing didn't have time to watch the whole thing from beginning to end at one shot. I think if the movie were to be more than an hour long, it should have some sort of intermission in which the player can save and return later for the rest.

I really enjoyed Tabloid, I must say.

I think if you're going to watch a MOVIE and don't have time to watch it all in one sitting, you have no business watching it now. :P

I know you're joking but in seriousness, you do need to be able to save it in case you have to leave unexpectedly or something. This is especially when you don't know how long the movie is so you don't know if you have alloted sufficient time.

I'd just base it on the length of real movies. Anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3 hours. If I have enough time to watch a movie of that length, I have enough time to watch a movie of RPGM length.
