I've been working on a section of my game Arcadia Mania, which is a remake of Donkey Kong on RPGMaker. I've spent many hours planning, creating, coding, and making sure everything works.

But then when you actually go into the game and play it, it takes about 10 minutes to finish it.

It's just a bit of a bummer that you can spend so much time creating something, and have it played through so quickly.

In a way, it does suck, but seeing that you managed to pull it of kind of makes up for it.

just build on it by adding features. this way even though its 10 minutes to play through it, you will need to play it multiple times to get all the fun out of it - or even want to play it again.

I spent more than 8 hours on that custom menu for changing party members. Something that takes less than a minute for the players to interact with... And I get to go back and work on it some more later when more characters need to be added to it.

I thought that was the whole point of your game...arcade style. Ten minutes is long in the arcade.
