Let's see if anyone can solve this.

I create a sprite(character) with the required height and width and color format, I preview it using the RPGC program but what I see is not what I like. Here's a picture

I'm assuming the little box in the picture displays the walking animation but it cuts a piece instead of displaying the full picture. So, what's wrong and what's the solution?

this is a very easy one. take that box you have and divide it into 9 squares. each of those squares is for a different animation bit. if you check out anime maker and pull up a character you will see there is 9 stills in a 3x3 panel formation. if you want the circle to show up then place it inside one of the 9 panels - keep note that the middle 3 vertical frames are what you see when you stop the character from moving (the other panels are for animation). the middle panel will mirror image itself to get the left/right image. you cannot make more then a character sized sprite unless you combine events.

9 panels? Does that box consist of 9 panels? Or do you mean in anime maker?

the program subdivides it into 9 panels that are rectangular. in rpgc it shows you the same thing as anime maker, a flat still.

here is an example of how its done:

Actually, making sprites in RPG Maker's Anime Maker is absolutely horrible... There's just no two ways around it.

What I did was take a blank image with the propper deminsions and sectioned it off. Make sure you don't go over the white lines per frame and you should be good to go.

Actually you CAN go on the white lines, but only from one direction per frame... but if you can avoid it, just don't sprite over them. When you are done with the sprite and all it's frames, just erase the white lines.
