I need help with this one event I'm doing. I want it to show a storteller then go away for the rest of the game. But when I set it to auto, it gets stuck in a loop. When I set it to touch, it just plain doesn't work. Any ideas?

Hmm, as far as I know, this event should have two modes made for it. The first mode will have your event, and at the end of that event, program that mode to change to mode number two, that way, since there is nothing playing in mode two, nothing will happen.....I think.

I hope I explained that clear enough without too much confusion. :P

*I wish I had more time to play!* :(

EDIT: I could of explained it with greater details, but I haven't had too much time lately..... Sorry.

K, thx Lev! I'll try that, and if it doesn't work, I'll try a few other things to make the stupid thing stop looooooooooooooooping.

If you want to save a little data space, and you won't need that event for anything again, you might try using a 'Display>Display-OFF' event code for the event. You can also set the requirement for the auto event to be 'if variable X = Y', so after the event you can just add 1 to that variable, and the event won't happen again unless you lower the variable back to zero.

Yeah, I agree with Obright Variables work good for saving a bit of space. What I do for auto events is make it a decrotive, like a tree or rock. That way it's killing two birds with one stone. Since you don't need to touch it you never even know it's an event. I use Variables that way you don't have to add a mode or turn it off.

Lausen, I never really thought of doing that with auto events! That would cool. Well, I'm going to go edit it now thx for the feedback, guys!
