Take a look at that picture, perhaps form an opinion of what you see. Then read this (not really a spoiler):
Okay, the object to the right is a pontoon boat. Were you able to tell before I told you what it is? Are you able to see it now that I tell you what it is? Can you tell that the table halves at the bottom are the pontoons, and can you tell that the chimneys at the top are the motors?
And while I'm at it...

Proof that you can make a decent-looking mountain level in RPG Maker. :)

not bad, ive had some sucess with mountain creating myself yet ive not found a place to introduce it yet - go figure.

as for the pontoon boat i dont think the table halves work well for it. try another graphic, perhaps use barrels or something? it doesnt have to be fancy but i really dont think those tables work in this case. nice use of the candy cane style roof, i like to see places where people have used out of the norm graphics to make something great.

First thing I noticed were the tables. They are really the only bad thing.

More importantly, I like how you used 'depth' to make the dock look lower than the main piece of ground.

Barrels for the pontoons won't work. They'd look like they were floating in front of the boat, instead of going under. Any other suggestions for the pontoons would be nice, though, as I've had trouble finding something better, myself.

use the bottom of the grave stone with the cross. just chop the cross off and put it there. it looks like the pontoon is floating in the water like it should.

Might want to check out my ancient Legend of Pants demo. the entire underwater area in the game is actually a mountain area. you start near the top of this really high underwater mountain rainge, and have to work your way towards the bottom.

i first read this and was like cool, an underwear area. i wondered what you would put in such an area, then i realized it was underwater. legend of pants, underwear, they seam to go together.

ill have to take a peak and see how you did it. way back in the day it was a much anticipated game.

I wasn't aware an RPGM1 demo existed anywhere. Or I forgot.

But thanks for the pontoons idea. I'll try that out, and see how it looks.

I could tell it was some kind of boat but did not specifically know it was a pontoon boat. Then again, this is the first I've heard of the word "pontoon".

I'm not really sure what the pontoons are supposed to look like, but I think the boat looks reasonable enough to at least "pass" as a pontoon boat from the pictures that I've seen (today for the first time).
