Quick Intro

I have owned Maker 2 for a few years now but never had the time to really sit down and try anything. Last week I popped it in and started toying with it. Now using the pre made stuff I managed to get a basic grasp on things but I am falling short trying to apply some of the code you guys have posted.

With that said.

I really enjoyed the clock script that rune wrote. I think that a dynamic clock baised on actions vs actual time is a wonderful thing. So I printed the scripts and threw them into my test game. It works great and I can see it being the base for a few ideas that I have. One was to add in something to change the time of day to reflect the clock time.

So, my questions are:

1) I understand that a simple enter map script can be used to check clock time and adjust day/night but how would it be possable to make the change when moving in the map? Since the clock ticks as you move I thought it would be feasable to add a check for the exact time and then fade the time of day accordingly. I have yet to try it myself due to time constraints.

2) You said you had scripts to reflect the passage of time when sleeping or having conversations. I was curious how you implemented that and if you could post those scripts?

Thanks.

EDIT: Yeah I figured out the first one, at least the overall concept have yet to get it going fully.

Thanks for the attention Ixzion the past few days I have been immersed in this game so you should be plagued with my rants soon enough.

EDIT: I got them both taken care of now. Managed to get day to night fade on cue along with a no so random weather generator going. Also have time reflected in other actions like talking, sleeping, ect.

Welcome to the site!

I split your question from the topic so that more people could see it, especially thefinalrune.

Everyone, Vashai is talking about rune's clock guide, found in this topic's last post: http://www.rpgmmag.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1701

To help, I think #1 is possible. I do not know of #2.

Wow, just goes to show that I don't stop in here enough.

Glad you liked the script, sorry I didn't get back to you before you figured it out yourself. Kudos though.
