So, how do I use this robust tool to make awesome sprites? I've never really touched it, so how could I use it? Like, say, making more character animations.

Well, you can use that, but ValhallaRPG created the amazing RPGC tool which allows you to convert bitmaps into Anime Maker sprites. I'd use that instead.

I'm surprised nobody's answered this, yet. Okay, how to get your game on your memory card. This, assuming you're making sprites on MS Paint or something like that.

First, open it in something that isn't MS Paint. 'Cause seriously, MS Paint's just going to ruin the sprite. In another program, set the color limit to 16, and save as a bitmap.

Open RPGC. Go to: File > Open
Choose the sprite.
Go to Convert > Bitmap to GME Sprite
Go to Save GME File.

Open DexPlorer. Open the GME file you just created, with your memory card inserted. Select the sprite, choose "Copy". Then Paste it into the memory card.

In RPG Maker, when you go to the memory card option (where you save/load your game), choose Import. And, um, I forget what to do at this point, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

One thing of note: It'll tell you that once you import the sprite, you cannot edit it. This is entirely untrue.

Only if you have more than 16 colors. I think I know what you're asking, and no, setting it to 16 colors does not mean it'll only use 16 pre-set colors. The colors are whatever colors you're using. But again, don't do this with MS Paint, because that one will mess up the colors.

Are there any pre-made sprite sheets so that I could edit one instead of making a new one from scratch? Say, a pre-made person sprite?

Yes, just load one of the game's pre-set sprites in Animé Maker, save it to your card, upload the sprite to your PC, change it to an 8-bit .bmp, re-save it as a 24-bit .bmp ('cause you won't be able to edit as an 8-bit), and edit it until you're ready to put it back on your memory card to use in your game.
