So here is how it works.

Pre-stuff
1.Make 3 nodes A, B, and C.
2.Make seperate armor and weapons equipable to the character.
3.Make it so that each class is assigned a node.

The actual equiping section.(i'll use a page from my game becuse it is easier to say.)
1. Page Conditions: Switch 004 on
Item Node
2. Contents: Message
Skill Selection Shop
Message
Message
Switch 005 On
Then a diffrent switch for each class
3.Then whenever an event that gives items appears or a shop, Make a page for each switch.

Actually, now that I think about it, you wouldn't be able to use the class shop for this trick. The player could easily throw a curve-ball by cancelling out of the shop without the game knowing it. But you can forceably change the player's class.

Another thing I realized, there's also a potential problem if you have more than one party member. But not a big problem. Basically, if every character could equip the same weapons and each member was a different class, you could potentially wind up shopping for the wrong weapons for one of the members. Only way I can think of to fix that is to have multiple versions of each weapon only equippable to certain members, like having different Long Swords with the only difference between them being who can equip them. Plus, in order for the shop to not allow buying of the wrong weapon type for other members, you'd probably only have to allow one party member out shopping at a time, or have one shopkeeper for each member.

Like I said before, though, even if you have to deal with new limitations, at least you got around more limiting limitations to get to them.

That is why the person has to obtain a class before they can do the next event.

You'll have to explain to me why you list the skill shop, then.
