I decided to put aside my other RPG idea to make another story bases lightly on the users and events of CaSA (GameFAQs regional boards: Central and South America) which is full of crazy people (just like this place! And I mean it in a good way)
Anyway, I didn't get the idea from duelpro's rpgmag game, but I was inspired in actually pursuing it (I had the idea since I had RPGM 2)
Anyways, I'm rambling! I was wondering what you thought about this so far. I still need to put some work on what I already have. Here is it so far:

The death of a god

Centuries ago, a man named Malfoc became Emperor. He had extraordinary skills, and he was beloved by many. There has never been other emperor like him. But still, many nations opposed him, and desired his land, and sought Malfoc’s destruction. However, Malfoc’s army was too powerful, and the opposing nations were soon defeated and conquered. Peace was brought, and everyone kneeled before Emperor Malfoc. The gods were pleased with his action, and they bestowed upon the powers of the god themselves, so no other nation would dare defy him again.
A few days later, Malfoc was dead: he took his own life. Nobody knows why.
Many people say that Malfoc freed himself from his corporal body, and has become a real god. Temples were raised in his honor, and every ruler after him fought under his name. A new religion was born: Malfoquism

In the present day…
The time of benign emperors has long ago disappeared, and a new dark age is enveloping the lands. In the past decades, more people are being born, with unusual powers; powers associated with those of the gods. Malfoquists claim that Malfoc will soon return to bring order to the lands. Wow, that was a good story.But basically tell us about the main character first.And this almost resembles my RPG idea.Except it's war of the gods not the death of god.

It sounds like your game is something that would make for a good play through.

A quick question about the people with the Mark of Malfoc. Those are the people who claim to be Him reincarnated, right? Is the emperor sending his troops out to find these people in order to kill them or to find out if what they're saying is true? It seems that the Mark of Malfoc then must be a mark of deception, right? because if the people who have that Mark all claim to be Malfoc, they must be liars unless Malfoc has reincarnated in several different forms.

Well, those are the kind of things I have to put a little more effort/detail, but basically yeah. The mark is not something necesarily visible, but people with it are different from the rest. Many have the mark, and it is believed they will be part of Malfoc's army when he returns. In other words, the Mark of Malfoc should be called the mark of Malfoc's chosen army. (I'm still not sure the game will be called Mark of Malfoc)
The land is filled with crazy malfoc fanatics who are waiting for him to free them from the current emperor, so it's in the best interest of the Emperor to "silence'" these fanatics as well as getting rid of the supposed members of an army who'll eventually beat his.

As I said, I still need to put a bit more work on the story, and I'm still working, on some other past/current events of the story. (Like why exactly people dislike the Emperor, and some other stuff)

The story is supposed to be somewhat humorous, but I think it'll be more serious that I was planning to.

Anyway, the main character will ba a young man named Jay, who has 2 brothers and a few pets. Very early in the game will be possesed by the spirit of a little boy who is somehow linked to Malfoc's past, one of his brothers dissapears in thin air, his other brother is kidnapped and one of his dogs turns into a beautiful woman.
Initially, Jay quest is to rid himself of the spirit, find his brother, rescue the other one, and look for a way to revert his pet's hideous (according to her) transformation.

Or something like that.

I was planning on making it in RPGM3 since I gave the other 2 in trade in waaaay back. But the guys at CaSA (see first post) want me to make it on RPGMXP so they can play it. (after all, most of them will appear in it)

Is RPGMXP easy to use? Or at least not as limited as RPGM3?

Guarionex, that sounds like quite an intriguing story; if you are intending for it to be serious, then it seems as though you are going to have to put a lot of thought into it. When I read this forum just a while ago, I basically came to share the same questions about this idea of yours that Pagerron did, and so you've basically already answered them. Good luck on creating this game if you decide for certain to go through with it, man.

(... Why not just leave the dog in the form of a beautiful woman? Every RPG needs at least one or two pretty girls, after all!)

Actually, I was intending it to be humorous. I just thought that after writing the backround story, it might get a (slighly) serious tone. But I'm aiming at the other side of the line.

And the dog will remain in the form of beautiful woman.
For some reason, I've always tried to include this character in every game I've imagined. Sort of. I mean, she WAS supposed to be a monkey, which would not be possible if I do it in RPGM3

Sounds like a good story. I would go with it.

There has been almost no progress with the idea, but it's still there. I don't think I'll follow the gimmick of doing it with members of the other forums, but I liked some of the ideas that spawned from it.
I really, really REALLY need to sit down, and at least finish the story. The last few days I've having lots of ideas, so hopefully, the next post will not take 4 more months.
