Hello everybody. I'm new to the forums and to the RPGM1 engine, but I'm pretty confident with the general RPGM structure, like switches and plenty of the advanced stuff.

So, I'm planning on doing something like a Magic Shop for my game, where you trade items ("Skill Points" or whatever, dropped from monsters) for magic. The thing is, I want to have each character (I believe I'm gonna have about 8) to have an unique set of magic to choose from.

Alright, so far so good. It's possible to make one NPC selling magic for each character, or one with loads of pages. Alright. But when it comes to the actual magic learning...

Let's say you learn, for instance, 'Fire'. Is there any way to make the 'Fire' magic not anymore available for learning? I mean: without wasting tons of precious switches, which is the obvious way... (It could be done if there was a "Have Magic" event condition, which I haven't found...)

You could use items instead. For instance, naming an object "Fire Spell" and then setting it as a page condition could work.

Yeah, you can name the item something like "Fire Scroll", exlaining that the character uses it in order to cast Fire (though it would still be cast like any regular spell).

Hmmm thank you, I hadn't thought of that. I'm used not to use items very much... Back from the RPG Tsukuru 2 days, when the items cap was so small.

Thank you again :)
