My next game is going to be a comedy. but before i jump in i need to know how to write a script. my next game is a secret so that when i finally make it, it hopefully will do good with laughs.
after fairy gods of course!!

Do you mean like a movie script, or a "Script" as in programming?

I never used RPGM1, so do not know about programming it.

But story scripting, especially for comedy games, is something I do a lot... but never before I am making the game.

I tend to script as I go and take a sort of Zen approach to game making.

It works for me.

1) are referring to an event, or
2) are talking about... literal script writing.

What do you need help on? ( if it's option 1 )

Well, for option two, I guess I would recommend the book "Screenplay Writing". You can find it at your local Borders Bookstore (I used to work at one). And there's plenty of "Writing for Movies" books in the writing section as well.

This is seemingly off topic, but if you get where I'm writing at, you'll realize it's not.

Whenever I create a game using the RPGM 1 engine, like I'm doing right now, I'll take a notebook and write down everything about the game. For example, I jot down in a notebook all of the plot twists, and all of the cool things I want people to say. I also chart down the characters, their backgrounds, and different other stuff.

Basically, just keep a notebook with you, buy a book on literal "Script Writing," and jot down your ideas inside of your notebook as you create your game. Sure it takes more time, but the payoff is great as your characters and story will come to life.

( I'll be posting an FAQ on the gameFAQs boards which goes into detail about bringing your RPGM world to life. )

I pretty much think of some cool things that I want to have in my game (i.e. the heroes being on the side of dragons, trying to get rid of the currupt and prejudiced dragon slayers, or a demon air pirate), and try my best to fit it all together. If something doesn't fit, use it for another game. Don't give up. Sometimes a brainstorm to link Event D to Event E will happen unexpectedly, sometimes even giving you ideas for an Event D-and-a-half.

^ Absolutely.

Also, if you run into problems, something doesn't read right to you, or something may come out too cliched, always consider the antithesis.

Similar to the guy above, he said that he likes games where the player-characters take the side of the dragons, something not seen very much in games.

Of course, this is a great example on an anithesis. A common cliche would be "kill the dragon, heroes!" as opposed to the antithesis, "we are on the side of the dragon!"
