The first draft VFX Editor Guide will have a steb-by-step tutorial section and has a tentative VD release date (Valentines Day).

I narrowed it down to the above four concepts.

I made short (12 second) mpg files for a quick peek. They should be small enough to present no problems for our dial up friends.

The Bugger Bugs have been seen before.

They are from Videogamedrome and will teach VFX Character use, Looping effects, and "Surgical" VFX removal (addressing a single effect on a screen full of 'em).

===============

The Boobyprize will teach the use more than 10 elements in a single effect as well as overlapping the Surgical VFX removal technique mentioned above.

==================

For VFX Driven action I chose my Baseball mini game. It has only a single event and is completely VFX Driven. No "moving parts" to worry about.

=================

Ducky is just there because I never posted him before. He colud be a VFX Character and uses more than ten elements in his design.

I may come up with a special action for him, but have not yet thought of one.

=======================

I plan on including all of these in a final version, but this is just a first draft.

I'm posting this poll on three different RPGMaker sites, so if you want to skew the results in your favor, go to all 3 sites and vote!

Ballot Box Stuffing is encouraged in this
election! We ain't no Democracy!

Peace.

EDIT:
<><><>

Ya know...

All of these involve VFX Driven action.

I guess the Baseball is the most extreme example because it is interactive with a timed button press, while the rest is an "any time" button press.

But be sure to watch the videos (especially Boobyprize and Bugger Bugs) for examples of what I mean.

The weapons (webs for bugs and energy weapons for Boobyprize) fire by pressing the [] button.

Just to keep you informed...

Peace.

I gave ducky love.
But not because you pointed out his lack of votes, because I had no clue what I was supposed to be choosing (didn't until I actually read the post which was long after I voted) and "Ducky" sounds cool. Super cool ducky.

Hmmmm...

Did you by any chance Vote in 2004?

Anyway...

So what if it was originally a jingle for Oswald Cobblepot's Mayoral Campaign against Batman in the 1960s Live Action Show (just substitute Pengy for Ducky and you've got the original song).

That reminds me...

I've got a cool gag leftover from the '04 election.

I think I'll give it it's own thread.

Look fot it in Chat!

Peace.

I guess I'd better take back my "Shame on you" comments about people not voting!

The votes have trippled since I said that.

Thanks.

Peace.

I ain't doing both, so somebody DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!

Peace.

I'm doing all four, but only one for the First Draft.

Ducky is trailing seriously while the Boobyprize is pulling in front!

Who shall win?

The time is nigh...

Whenever I start on this is the last day of the polling.

Probably tomorrow afternoon.

Peace.

This is a reminder that this is the last day for voting and the last time I'll be bumping this (You're welcome... and thanks for tolerating it!!) except to announce the winner!!

It looks like a clear victory for The Boobyprize!

Funny, I didn't think there were that many Star Poop fans here...

Peace.

It Over.

I'm beat (lots of snow shoveling) and just want to relax and drink and... ummm...

Nevermind.

So...

We Have A Winner!!

Image

Here are the "Final Numbers"

The Bugger Bugs: 3
The Starship Boobyprize: 12
VFX Driven Action: 9
Ducky: 5

Unless there is a huge flurry of votes overnight, expect this to be the last word.

Until VD is upon us!

Peace.

Well that one does look cool looking. I guess no one really thought something like that was possible or just didn't know what to do :/
