Here is an interesting glitch I managed to incur while trying to allow for different possibilities in my game.

I realized that the cut scene I posted before with the Clown and the Farmer only works if the Chicken if the active character. The camera angle is ruined otherwise.

So I put a party reorder command in there.

It worked fine when I tested it entering the room as The Euphemism.

Then I thought ".. What if they enter the room with the Chicken Dead?"

I wasn't sure, so I tested it.

A dead character can't be made leader. Whooda Thunk?

So I placed a revive party command before the modify active member command and something interesting happened.

Here is an mpg file showing the event:

My Chicken was floating way up high!

And it's repeatable!

The camera was off center, and between that and my dyslexia and the lousy analog stick camera control, I had a hard time controlling it during the mpg capture.

But it does manage to show off the weirdness.

Enjoy...

Peace.

EDIT:

And could somebody pease explain why my code seems to be showing and only half working?

I have real troubles on this site with this. I dunno why. It seems to me that if the image is acting as a link (which it is) this should work as intended...

Same code works elswehere.

Oy.

Code fixed. See below.

So what would happen if you tried moving around while up there?

The chicken returns to the ground during the cut scene, right when the display automatically refreshes for the "Display On" command used to bring up the clown's teleporter.

Watch the video!

It is really only good for getting some laughs and a funny screen shot or 2.

So far...

It's because of a script I installed on the forums. You see, with the compact size of the forums, images would destroy the tables installed. So I added the script to automatically resize the the pictures. It's interferring with the setup you want.

I saw the video, though. Interesting stuff. :D

Oh!

I just saw the image acting as a link and did not realize it was linking to it's larger self. I thought it was linking to the file.

Cool.

I hate it when posted images distort the tables! It gets hard to read.

Ummm...

Back on tpic I guess.

I suppose I should place the same warning that came with the cut scene about the misogynistic content in the dialog.

Sorry Ladies, I needed a Misogynistic character or few and the writing just came so easily...

I'd better shut up.

Peace?

Yeah I saw the video, I'd just figure you might've tested it out where you didn't refreshe the screen.

I planned on testing it out after I finish my Screenshot mountain for the weekend.

I see I forgot to state that!

Oops.

I am not even sure it will work once I interrupt the action. He may just automatically go to the floor as he should have without the cut scene interrpution.

I'll post what happens.

Peace.

Sorry to double post, but...

I just took the time to test this further.

It pops the chicken to the ground if I interrupt the auto event sequence before the display is refreshed.

Drat.

If only they gave us camera control this could be exploited gloriously...

But it seems to be dependent on being so close to a wall that the camera won't get past it.

Hmmm... I'll have to try this with land forms forming the walls on a field map...

Not now though.

This Update brought to you by Long Hair Games. A Non-Existent, but Real Sounding Video Game Studio!

Peace.
