I unfortunately had a mishap with my PS2 some time ago. I turned to PS2 emulation since I still had my copy of RPGM2 with a little tweaking I got it to work flawlessly, all except I couldn't get keyboard input for messages, item naming, etc. Until now! I did a little digging and found a fully functioning way to pretty much play RPGM2 100% on your Computer! This could be useful for those that don't have a capture device and would like to take videos and pictures straight from there game. Now as it is emulation, you will get a occasional graphic hiccups but that's honestly unavoidable, luckily majority of the time it fixes when you move around or leave and reenter a map.

What you'll need:

PCSX2 0.9.8 (ONLY WORKS WITH THIS VERSION, VERY IMPORTANT!)[/url]

NUVEE USB PLUGIN Needed for USB emulation.

Install PCSX2. You'll need a bios so you can either dump yours or search for it on google.

Set your following Settings to such:

EMULATION SETTINGS
EE/IOP
EmotionEngine: Recompiler
IOP: Recompiler
Round Mode: Chop/Zero
Clamping Mode: Normal

VUs
VU0: microVU Recompiler
VU1: microVU Recompiler
Round Mode: Chop/Zero
Clamping Mode: Normal

GS
Framelimiter:
(Unchecked) Disable Framelimiting
Frameskipping: Disabled

Speedhacks
(Checked) Enable Speedhacks
(Checked) Enable INTC Spin Detection
(Checked) Enable Wait Loop Detection
(Unchecked) Enable fast CDVD
(Checked) mVU Flag Hack
(Unchecked) mVU Block Hack

Game Fixes
(Checked) EE Timing hack
(Checked) OPH Flag Hack

Video Settings
Renderer: Direct3D11 (Hardware)
Interlacing (F5): Weave bff (saw-tooth)

Once your settings are saved go back to the zip file that contains the Nuvee plugin open it and search for the following folder:

"nuvee_ps2_usb- guncon2,keyboard,mouse"
Open it. Then navigate to:

"Bin" from that folder copy the nuvee_ps2_usb.dll to your Programs PCSX2 0.98>Plugins folder. Also open the "pcsx2-r4600-usb" folder and copy the .exe to your PCSX2 0.9.8 directory. Should be

x86: Program Files> PCSX2 0.9.8
x64: Program Files (x86)> PCSX2 0.9.8

One last thing you'll want to do, run the pcsx2-r4600-usb.exe

From there configure your USB from the Config menu. Set your Port 1 to Keyboard and click OK. Start the game and you SHOULD have fully working keyboard support as well as your gamepad (If you have one configured).

Note: You can only use the pcsx2-r4600-usb.exe for this trick, unfortunately It cannot be used on the default program, this exe has been modified for USB support. Enjoy!

It might be worth noting that the best rendering option largely depends on your system
For example, on a friends computer, we got the most speed out of Direct3D12
However, on mine, it was one of the ZeroGS.
Also every option has a different effect on each system, in terms of graphical glitches and speed.
The plugins typically have a 'Hardware/Software' option. If you have a A+ vidya card, Hardware is the way to go.
If you have a amazing processor, you might get more speed out of Software.
Software is also more accurate and less buggy, however, it is 'typically' slower.

And, of course, depending on the speed of the PC, the less hacks you enable, the better. Some of them make things look funny! :C
Although this guide is more about getting the USB plugin working, I assume.

Good guide though allaround. I'll follow it once I forget how it all works and need to set it up again. :P

Yeah pretty much. I just posted the settings I use. Not necessarily ones for their setup. Thanks for the feedback :)
