Yep, Now that i got my PSone (with ultra spiffy LCD screen) hooked up in my room, and a computer in here as well, all I realy need to do now is hook up my dex drive! This all boils down to the fact that I can now continue work on VIKINGMAN!.

The story revolves around Vall the Bold who has set out on his own to become a farmer. When he reaches the island of Varkinland where he has chosen to settle, strange occurrances lead Vall on a quest to unravel the web of terror wroght by one of the islands most secretive figures; the evil Wizard Thousand.

Change his name to the evil Wizard Nine-Hundred Nintey-Nine and One Half, and you'll have me interested.

I tracked this down from the old Pavilion. I'm throwning it up here for personal reference.

Okay. I suppose that I can write one of those annoying character bios that nobody reads. There aren't that many characters anyway...

Main Characters
Vall the Bold:
Weapon: Hand Axe
Age: About 17-24 (I never specify)
Race: Human

An adventurous young man that has just come of age, is following Tradition and seeking a living in a new land. To this end he comes to the Norse Colony of Varkway on the great Island of Varkland, so he can pursue a peaceful and honorable life as a simple farmer. However, he finds that it is unseasonably winter like, and the locals all seem to point their fingers to the northwest, where a mysterious tower has just completed construction...


Bubble MacSullivan:
Weapon: Dagger
Age: 14-20 (again, I never specify)
Race: Elf

Bubble is the local minstral at the Lochefinin pub. Vall is sent by Agria of Shroom Forest to find her after his ordeal at Frosty Tor. She is supposedly the only one that can translate the Runic Inscriptions in some of the Spellbooks that Vall occasionaly finds on his journey. She accompanies him because she has read of adventures like this and she knows that he will need help. But mostly because it is a direct order from Agria, who is Queen of the Mhyrric Races (Elves Dwarves, Fairies, etc.,...)

Noni the Frightfull:
Weapon: Claws
Age: 170ish
Race: Monster (Zombie)

Vall first meets Noni in Olgoafton, after completeing a favor to one of the townspeople there, and while doing so learns of his existance in a sort of round about way. Noni fills you in on all he knows about the evil Wizard Thousand, the one who brought him back to life, and is the brians behind Yagg and Drasil. Noni is the leader of MonRes, a group of Thousand's minions and others that resist Thousand's rule, and his general plans for world domination. Noni tells you the pass word to tell the portmaster (who is an agent of MonRes) to gain acsess to the Eastern Penninula, by way of The River's Mouth. He dosent join you until VERY late in the game, but his presence is most apreicated because he knows all of the annoying spells that the monsters tend to use.

The Opposition
Yagg:

Yagg is the monster behind the coldspell in Varkway, and makes his home in Frosty Tor, Northwest of the village, across the Cold Tundra. He is the weaker of two of Thousand's lackeys, and he only hints at his masters existance.

Drasil:

Drasil is the Monster behind the windstorms on Lochefinin, and Breezy Plains. He lives far, far to the south west in his own cave on the Narly Peninnsula. He also hints at his masters' existance, but he doesn't tell you much more than you already know at that point.

The Wizard Thousand:

Not much is known about this shady figure. Most estemates of his arival in Varkland are placed between one to two years before the monsters started to appear, and 3 years definetly before the weather went awry with the compleation of Frosty Tor. Some spectulate (mostly in the ranks of MonRes) that his true motive is to seek the same Spellbooks that Vall and his freinds come accross occasionaly. But this is the matter of controversy due to the fact that many of the Spellbooks were either allready under his indirect controll or ridiculously easy for him to get if he truly wanted them. His true motive is his secret and his secret allone.


NPC

The Sea Captian: He is a character that is only featured in the Intro "vinyette." He wishes Vall well and gives him his start money.

Agria of Shroom Forest: Queen of the Mhyrric Races, she tells Vall to seek out Bubble MacSullivan, because of her knowledge of the Runic language and take her allong.

Karrye: He is the boss of Mossy Cave, but also a member of MonRes. He is shirking his responsibilities to Thousand and not carrying out Thousands plan to cover Olgoafton in moss. He tells you of a house "where the ladder talks back." He gives you the Compass and sends you on your way.

Portmaster: Another operative of MonRes. He feigns fear in going toward the Northeastern Peninnsula and Woeful Valley, untill Noni gives you the password to head north.

Secret Character #1 he is a powerfull enemy that you face before Thousand.

Thats it. It should give you a pretty good understanding of the game.

I added a new character. He is Slepinir. He is just a save point though.
I'm thinking of putting a game tip system on him though, so if you need to check your objectives for a specific dungeon then you can ask him. I have a lot of ideas about this game, however, i'm only implementing them if I've got the space when i'm done with the basic game. (I.e. all the story elements.) I think that the layerd aproch to game creation is the best one....
