A Hack-n-slash game are games that have a custom battling systems. There are a couple of games like that. Zelda is one.

Anyway, I'm afraid you won't be able to do anything close to what was in that video. The hard part especially would be getting enemies to attack you back, as events in RPGM1 can only have one page working at a time. In other words, you can either attack the enemy, or it attacks you, never both. You'll have to come up with some idea to have the enemy switch from being attackable and attacking you. In my game, I simply have enemies take turns, where you attack it turning on a switch that allows it to attack, where the switch is turned back off allowing you to attack again. It's possible to come up with something a bit more creative, but that's up to you what you want.
