So what are the real limits of RPGM2? I ask this because I've seen that there are many games that were made with it that aren't even RPGs. It´s really shocking to see tetris or a golf game for RPGM2, so i guess you could probably make any kind of game with it if you work hard, right?

Well the object and visual have limits. Well you can't make a super mario game perfectly because of the jumping and the timing would be off.

The 8-way tile movement. Though there's a glitch that makes it so you can walk in half-tiles, there's no good way to enable free movement. There is a way, but it's not worth the trouble.

^ Yeah, what he said. I tried it (limited every step to a half-step), but it's <i>really</i> not worth it -- especially if you don't want your player to be able to walk half-way through every wall they approach.

Well yes i haven´t thought about that. Thanks for answering so fast. :D

I guess that still with those limitations, the range of what can be done is pretty extense. For example could you do a very simple soccer game, with just a goalie and a shooter? This is just to mention an idea i had when i saw the golf game. Don't know if what i asked is dumb but is interesting to know if it's possible.

I'm not sure about the soccer game, but I'm sure Rodak would have the answer to that (he's the master of these boards when it comes to RPGM2).

Then again, I guess if you can make a racer with the game, you can do a lot.

Yes, I was just thinking of something like a small minigame. Just to make something different from the usual rpg minigames but i guess it would be really hard. Still is good to know that it is possible.

I really want to do PONG!, but I can't make a decent AI for the computer paddle.

You can't have an action script where pressing a button makes the player dance or disappear or anything like that. You can put the player in a vehicle using a trick to do something like this, but you can't run when you're in a vehicle (which is necessary in my game). Unless there's something I'm missing, but I've been trying to work on this for hours. I suppose I could put it on RMXP instead, but then the size and scope of the game won't be as impressive. But it's either that or cancel that, and I know a lot of people wouldn't like that.
