I'm considering doing a day-1 let's play of that new Captain Toad game coming out, and that might result in this game taking a back seat for that time. So let us go ahead and do a little more exploration before we break for the week.

I like Blind LPs of Puzzle Games.
Sometimes, when a person sucks at puzzles, they can be a bit frustratibng to watch, but they are still entertaining.

I've seen a few Gamexplain videos on Captain Toad, and the game does look very fun.

By the way, it's kind of funny, how in Super Mario 3D World, you sayd that Capain Toad should have his own game, but not a full game, just a small downloadable game, and yet Nintendo made a full game
if you LP the game, you should start the first video by talking about that

This game has an optional boss, and he refuses to die.

Jackel returns, and we finally gain control of her. She's not bad.

I'm surprised I haven't had more to say in commenting on these videos. That said, Jackal was more useful in normal mode (or maybe the original version? I don't know if Ix changed it).

Small fact for you: the stats for the characters change with the difficulty mode. They'd get higher stats on normal.

Out of all the times that any attempts to break the game are for entertainment value, only, this is easily one of the biggest.

Also, this might be the last time I update this LP for a little bit, as I'm going to attempt a day-1 let's play of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker starting this weekend.

So the next 3 planned LPs are all VX ACE demos, and not full games?
Well, you have never done an Ace LP before, so you are probably not so much familliar with the engine and it's capabilaties. I have worked with Ace (thought with no results), so I can tell you about stuff and differences between XP and VX as you go throught the games

RM1-3 sample games - those would be very interesting LPs. But... XP, VX and Ace also have sample games? What? I've never seen them anywhere...

DKC GBC is the version i grew up with... It's a lot harder than SNES/GBA... Especialy Loopy Lights... So that would be interesting to see

I know these plans can change a lot as time goes on, but the games you listed all sound like they're LPs will be interesting

Are you not forgetting any LPisode or dublicating any LPisode?

Pretty sure it's right.

And the next three games are Ace demos because that's what happened to be requested. And what Ace is capable of is irrelevant because it's capable of too much. So I'm going to judge by what's there, rather than what the editor is capable of. Not everyone has the skills to create custom graphics or scripts, after all.

Actually, he's done at least three of them.

Still, i could tell you, just for trivia, what's a feature and what's a script. What Ace does that VX doesn't and stuff like that.



Spiritis, Homage and Simple Man's Quest For The Playground were all VX games. Ace didn't even exist at the time he did Spiritis and Homage

That's actually kind of interesting. You know, it's rather sad that I've done five RPGM2 let's plays, and not one of them was of a good, complete game. Next season's gonna fix that.

I'm a bit sceptical about Season 8 thought. I don't really get the point of starting a new Season, when you could just play those games in Season 7

It's because even though I've cleaned things up in this season, I'm still a little disappointed by it. The first couple games were "meh", and despite my best efforts, neither of the non-RPGM games I've LP'd this season have helped me grow in popularity. So I'm kinda ready to leave this season behind.

Well, what makes you think Season 8 will be better?

I do agree that you may have overdone RM1 for now, so seeing a new RM2, RM3 and your start on Ace would be nice. But are the games good or interesting?

And what of Ace Demos? They're demos, not even full games. Would they be interesting, like Homage and Simple Man, or semi-boring, like Freedom Quest?
Do you know anything about the demos? Do you at least know how long they are, or how much is developed in each demo?
