Read the preview and find out, because I'm not sure off the top.

Yes, it does have random battles, but the prevalence is set to 'LOW' at all
times. The main character gets a skill that lowers enemy encounters by 1
level, so if he uses it, there will be NO battles until it wears off. He also
gets a skill that raises the encounter rate. Also, there are items which do
these same things (both 1-use and unlimited use items).

Intimidator (1-use) - Lowers encounter rate by one level
Meat lure (1-use) - Raises encounter rate by 1 level
Lamp of Stealth (unlimited use) - Lowers encounter rate by one level
Meat Brazier (unlimited use) - Raises encounter rate by 1 level

You, as the player, are in control of the enemy encounter rate. These RE's
are important in the game, because they can yield rare drops...including
skills for the Dark Scholar (Blue Mage). Also, they give the player more
options and freedom.

Hey...that's almost a perfect anagram! ;) Is that something you've made
up, or is it from somewhere else? It sounds cool, in any case. Do you
have your game uploaded anywhere?

It's a game I'm making right now, sorry about the late post :blush

You can check it's progress right now by clicking the link in my sig, and I'm hoping to get my demo up soon. It's, oddly enough, very different. It's a very serious game with a strict M rating on rpgm1.

Good luck with your game ;)

Sounds awesome...I'll check it out when you post it! What is the thing I need again...the thing that's similar to a MAX drive (for RM1)?

Ok...thank you!

Note about the final version of UQ SotT:

After the skeleton of the game was finished, I found that I had no more
room for extra NPC's, buildings, events, or decorations. There ARE some
of all of these, but parts of the game may seem barren or unfinished as a
result of their low number. Please do not mistake the whole game as being
unfinished...it's totally playable all the way to the end...but those extra
things are sparse.

The final version of 'Shadow of the Towers' is out!

The previous version was the 'finished' version, but this one is the FINAL version.

I've played through it three times, and everything seems to be in order. It plays MUCH better now than it did before!

The top post has been edited to reflect what's new in the final version. Check it out!
