I need to know certain things about RMXP from experienced XP users. It mainly is regarding file sizes of games.

How big is a full-length RMXP game? How can a game parts be compressed to take up less room?

I would think that in a project, the main thing would be music files eating up tons of space, but I am not sure.

This will affect the (limited) support RPGMM has for XP games.

Actually, you're quite right about music. The music files in a XP project can be quite large if not properly compressed (E.g. Using other music file types other than .mp3). Also, of course there's the graphics. Depending on if a game uses a lot of sprites, has a lot of effects and tilesets, that can be a problem too. Especially since .PNG is a recommended file format for the highest quality.

How big a RMXP game is really depends on the creator(s).

I've seen games as low as 32MB, and some over 700MB.

If you check a demo, you can guess about how much. The more maps/events/scripts and resources you use, the bigger the file.

Reguarding compressing, I use it to prevent people to edit my games. I dont want people changing the rules around, to make it easier.
