My sister recently got a Zune, and for the life of us we cannot get the software to install on her computer. She has Media Center 2005 version XP with SP2... which SHOULD satisfy the reqs, but she needs to download some things from windows update. Problem is, the site will freeze the computer. We loaded the update site in IE, allowed it through the firewall, and the computer is virus free.

I have never been so confused with a media player.o_o

Any suggestions?

Well if you know exactly what she needs from windows update, if you do some searching on Microsofts site there should be a place to download it manually and install it that way. You could try windows update from control panel as well (or wherever it is).

It's Microsofts Video Ipod basically. So basically a portable media player.

Now it's down to finding a good AVI to WMV converter.

The Zune is alright, but is so finicky with movie types.
