I think it's a really awesome movie. Anyone else have a chance to see it? What was your favorite part?

I've only read the book, though I suppose I'll look the flick up sometime.

I had an avvy for awhile.
Just a drawing of mine.
Then, obviously, I took it down.
No real reason, I suppose.
Look on the "choose your magonian" combat thing.

Actually, I thought the Count of Monte Cristo was one of the better movies I've ever seen. It would make it within my top 10.

The Lord of the Rings... all three of them... which I watched in one day... which was fun... and time consuming.

But I liked the books better.

I did a play last fall where I read the first few paragraphs of the book as part of my character! So I know very little about it. I can still repeat those lines though!

SNIP "Edmond Dantes, a man no more than 20 years old, announces to the ship's owner that the captain has died!"

I did not like the first lord of the rings. Was kinda boring. However I made an ass of my self when I was at the movies to see the first one. I had not idea that Golem hurd voices in his head. I could not stop laughing. Everyone was getting pissed. Just his over all voice going from low mad to high silly/scared drove me laughing out of my chair.

I thought each one was a work of art. I never thought that a movie could emulate a book so well. Peter Jackson did a wonderful job. Now he is working on the Hobbit which took place 60 years before LOTR. Can't wait.

I've got to get a copy of the count of monte cristo now... I miss it.

That would actually be the 2nd, he doesn't speak but for a few trifling noises in the first.

I've seen those movies more than most movies in existence.
I read the books when I was 9, and again when I was 13 (because I didn't understand a few things at 9 entirely, though I got the jist of it), and then I got into all the backhistory of Middle Earth, the Silmarillion and the like.
I think I was about the closest thing an obsessed person can be whilst remaining non-dorkishly obsessed. Basically I just dig it alot, though now fantasy is so convoluted I can't really say the same for the genre anymore.

And yeah, the movies were great, especially in the director's cut.
Some of the better movies ever made, methinks.

The LotR movies were great. The books are great, too, but are kinda boring. I remember having to reread the first book 2 times and the second one 3 times, because I read it so slowly I kept forgetting what was going on...

I hate reading books. After I get to page 5 I get bored with what I'm reading. :( That and I have a hard time understanding what I'm reading. I sometimes have to read something over 5 times to fully understand what I read. :/

... and computer. And videogames. Just not healthy.

Go for a walk outside, refresh your mind, do read a good book. It's just so much more...

good...
