I just found out a few hours ago that a good friend of mine's mother passed a way.

She was fighting cancer for the longest time... but now that's over. My friend isn't taking this very well, her only other family is her brother.

For those of you who believe in God and prayer. Please pray for my friend, Crissy. She isn't taking it well at all. She is only 2 years older than me, and I would be devistated to lose my mother this soon.

I appriciate you taking time to read this...

Visitation is tomorrow followed by the funeral which is sunday. I will be out of pocket till monday, apparently.

Listen, everyone has a time to go. Afterall, she was battling cancer. My own mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I remember when she found out the news. We were both an emotional wreck. Fortunately my mother is still alive today, and is quite active with a church in her local area. She thanks God for every breath that she takes. I'm not saying to go join a church, but I see it from the angle that she is no longer suffering from the pain that cancer brings. Her spirit is whole again, and in a better place.

Can anyone even fathom what it is like to battle cancer? I can't and wouldn't wish it even for my worst enemies. My heart and prayers go to her and her family, and especially you Lantis for hanging in there as a friend to her and her brother.

By bringing this to us, you share the mourning process, and make living and going on easier for all the parties involved. I don't know how old everyone on the Mag is, but I'm 30, and have seen my share of death Natural, Forced and Accepted. I have watched people pass on due to old age, I have seen people take their own lives... It scars me still today. I have also seen people accept death. These are people that have died saving the lives of others. I spent 4 years in the military with two tours over seas and have seen some stuff that jerked tears and opened flood gates when people realized why their friends didn't make it back to the boat after a land based fire fight.

I will not go into details by choice, and respect, but I will say that if ANYONE needs to talk for any reason, please feel free to PM my mailbox. I will keep all details confidential.

I wrote that for a friend whose fiance was killed.
Just figured I'd link it, really, when TAI's comment made me recall her mother, who coincidentally died of breast cancer, and then her husband, and then the poem.
