Oh glorious day!

Loads of new features that I had to use mods for will now be included in the base package.

Yay for enhanced search functions - I never found the current version's search to be all that effective.

"Select search backend (mysql/phpbb) " - I am curious about this statement though. Is it an admin thing - or do we get to specify search statements or something... cus that would definitly rock. (though its prolly not true).

Custom BBCodes - now that sounds sweet XD. I think I have seen this on other boards though... like one anime board I'm on has [spoiler][/spoiler] codes.

Custom Profile Fields - also very nice! Makes it more board specific and whatnot.

Manage subscribed topics & forums - Galbadia Hotel automatically subscribes you to anything you post it... I don't really like it that much though it is useful to be able to subscribe to news threads etc.

Locking of single posts - sound interesting, useful, but rarely >___>

Well, it doesn't look like the phpBB team is gonna have a final release candidate anytime soon.

I'm going to update the forums with the CH-mod creator's newest edition, which has new features and I'll try to throw in a few mods, too.

And I backend search will definitely be for admins only. Like we'd let you noobs touch that.

;_; damn, that would have been so much awesome. and so much easier. the search function currently kind of sucks >.<
