I would always go to cyan chat to talk about Myst and Riven. It's still up and there was no signups, which was really nice. Anyway, I met this girl there named coocoobird (real name Sophie) and kinda hung out. We sent so many love u e-mails and has our own seperate expage websites.

The breakup was pretty bad, in all honesty. It came out of left field and broke us apart. and, oddly enough, her site is still up today, even though it hasn't been updated in 6 years.

That's me, Ice in the guestbook. Mind you, I was 13 years old when I posted that kind of stuff, so don't hold it against me.

I still have this odd hope we can meet again, somewhere....

That's my story, in a nutshell. When did you guys start playing with the internet, and what'd ya do, where'd you go?

I did it at school, starting in my freshman year. That was the '97-'98 year, I believe. We didn't have a computer at home yet, so I had to resort to using the computers at school after it was out and while I waited for my bus (which I was 95% guarenteed to meet if I left the computer lab by 10 after). For the most part, I just looked at nintendo.com, as well as kept an eye at Rare's site, as well as THQ's site (as I was interested in the then-yet-to-be-released Aidyn Chronicles).

I didn't start message boarding until we finally got a computer of our own and an internet connection. And I started off at the old Enix boards, under the screenname, Nathan. Which...happens to be my real name. Yup, I was a newb. Not sure how I decided to post there, though, but I'm sure it was because of Dragon Warrior I&II on the GBC, which I wound up getting because there weren't that many RPGs on the GBC. I'm not sure how I wound up becoming such a big fan of the series, what with the level grinding that's required. I can't remember much of what it was like there. I remember the translator of the GBC incarnations posted there (I think he worked on Dragon Warrior 7 also). "Nob" was his screenname. I also remember this girl with a screenname of something @earthlink.net making a big deal in the Dragon Warrior III board after having asked if the game was like Dragon Warrior Monsters, turning into the biggest flame war I have ever seen. Ah, Dragon Warrior 7. How we were all anticipating its official announcement. Enix's site intro played a small cutscene advertising the game in bits and pieces some weeks before it was finally announced, with them adding more to it as time passed on, until finally, on the day of announcement, the intro finally finished off with the title and the grand Dragon Warrior theme playing in the background. :cry O happy days.

Outside of that, I had my own crappy Pokemon fan site. It was a quiz site, where people would send me quiz questions and answers. The first page had the questions, the second had the answers. The first questions were straight from Blaine's gyme in the original Red/Blue games. Nobody ever sent more questions.

I started back in 97, I would just go on the internet for dbz images. I would print them out and draw them. It was a big fad back then. But that what I would mostly do, I would just mess around with some gaming sites, look up cheats for my game and check my email. Pretty much it until year 2000

Hmm, we first got the internet on our first computer with Windows 3.1 I don't even remember what I did - i dont' think i had an email address until grade seven. It could not load MSN.com or anything so i don't think i even used the internet much but then we got our new computer when i was in 13 or 12 almost thirteen... hard to remember. either way i got my email address at yahoo.ca and that lasted like a week until i got my one at hotmail which is the same one i have now. The first Forum i got on was the D12 forum in grade 9 cus i saw them on tv at a friend's house and after that i got on ezboard and shmeng. never really been into the big fad websites though i do currently have a nexopia and a myspace ;_; 2 myspaces actually. they are for keeping in touch with faraway friends purposes.

Location: Out there. In that place. You know, with the "thing"
I cant rember much of what i did on the internet before I started posting on what at the time was the first chat room I ever bothered to check out.
But I think most of what i did was download walkthroughs for videogames and look at porn. (like who DIDN'T do that at first :p) We had just upgraded from Primestar to DirectTV and one of the channels was ZDTV. I singed up for an account because the station was relitivley new and it was about computers/videogames. After I got my PS2, I bought GT3, which was my first PS2 game, and so I whent looking for reviews and such. I found a site where people were helping each other out on a forum, and I helped some one with a problem they had with GT in general (I have all 4 Gran Turismos', and like to think I'm a bit of a veteran of the series). Long story short I enede up staying for a while. The website was Neoseekers (one of the early compettetors to gamefaqs) Time passed there and then on december 10, 2002, I bought RPG Maker. by december 21, I was posting on Agetec forums, and by January 6th, I was at the Pavilion. I spent two weeks there, and then moved to The RPGM Garden, and left 2 months latter when Jennie, decided to start the Videogame recaps site. I mourned the loss of the site for a full month before I posted back at the pav (and also, I kind of whent postal on them when i found out the there were those on the pav that thought the Garden was dumb, and further more those ill thoughts factored into Jennies decision to shut down the site, so I kinda wanted that to blow over) That began a full year on the pav, and by the following april I had been banned at the Pavilion. A few people remember the heated exchange that I had with valk here as at the time this was the only other site i knew he posted at, that resulted in a temp ban here, and the argument spilled on over to the skyler forum. I stuck around there for a bit, but eventualy the general ill will everyone had toward me led to my being kicked out of there by gray.
Next i landed at Metropolis central, and after Glume raised a stink that I was frequenting his art forum there, I found my self banned again. Thank fully by that tim the mag had un banned me so wandered back here and the rest as they say is history.
