For those of you who do not have direct tv or cox digital cable, you probably did not have a chance to scan around the guide and find out that Dave Chappelle was interviewed on Oprah as to why he left, where he went, and what is in store for the future.

Apparently Dave left because he was feeling stressed out. The last bit of work he did on season two of Chappelle's show got him stressed because people were seemingly taking advantage of him and were acting differently than the first season.

A white guy seemed to have given a different laugh on the rehearsal set, an it seemed as though he was laughing at him, not with him. Then there was the mistreatment over his contract and all the things he wanted to do.

So... the big thing on people's mind: Where did he go, and why?

Yes, he did go to Africa. No, it was not a mental institution. (not exact quote) 'Why would I go to Africa for medical attention?' He went to take a break and get his mind set.

Now, we are all in luck... Yes he will be back for a third season/ possibly more. And yes we are all ready for him to come back.

Dave chappelle went crazy from fear of success. But still I haven't seen opra to see dave on there.

Oprah interviewed Dave Chappelle himself and I am going by what he said. Be it true or protecting his public image, I am just relaying the message.

Although I do defend that I do not believe it was the fear of success because before all of this happened he had already wrapped up the 3rd season, he had a contract of $50,000,000 signed, and he was already the creator of a grammy nominated show, and the most sold DVD series of all time. So he was already successful, yet still up for debate on the case of leaving.

I would be shocked if it happen so fast too, anyone can see it But he is the funniest comedian yet.

Anybody read that Oprah / Dave Chappelle conspiracy theory?

I did, actually. That was quite strange. Think it has any merit to it?

I have no idea. But it would certainly fit with this.

It was at least an interesting read anyway.

I don't have a link, but supposedly Chappelle's success was "made" by already existing black comedians. Then I remember some rumors of blackmail.
