If there is one show I really really hate- Spongebob Squarepants. Can't stand that show.

Wow, Duelpro. I couldn't have said that any better. ... But then again, not just with Fairlyodd Parents, but incredibly bad art is a primary reason why most cartoons - kid or more adult - nowadays suck, although it certainly isn't the only reason.

IMO it's one of the shows that started out pretty good but is being driven into the ground at this point. They need to stop making new episodes, and create a good new show.

imo... well... good childrens broadcasting started and ended with Superted.

well if there is one show i really hate cuz of bad art. Danny Phantom. That show had potential!!! But bad jokes and horribly colored backgrounds killed it

Is it just me, or does the animation for pretty much every single one of these newer cartoons look the freaking same. It reminds me of flash... just not as cool. If fact, it's quite bad.

^Agreed. I miss most cartoons with Bill Murry's voice over like in Ghost busters or Garfield cartoons.

I also can't stand these high voices that there putting in these cartoons. Bring back them 40 year old voices. They sound alot better.

Also animals look like animals in the old cartoons. And people look like people. Not these big poped eye people.

speaking of flash toons has anyone else seen Super Retarded Dog? That's ones pretty good... I think it's a take on that SNL sketch where he was a disabled super hero.. XD

I don't watch enough newer shows to really know if they all look the same, but from what I've seen they sort of have some of the same looks. Like Powerpuff Girls for instance (I had 2 friends totally obsessed with it, not my fault) seems to look a lot like Fairly Odd Parents and Teen Titans.. and the animation for Aqua Teen Hunger Force sort of fits that category too...

I figure that animation has gone through phases though and cartoons from the same phase all sort of have the same style. So it's not like they are becoming more of the same.... not that I'm taking it in uni or anything though - which you can do! Some places even have whole degrees for The Simpsons XD

Well, not every new cartoon, but a pretty large amount of the more-for-kids cartoons. Very few look as hand-animated as cartoons used to be, though.
