So, what, get a job where you only work weekends?

It's possible, though of course you'll be competing with all the other college people for them. Depending on your week schedule you could probably fit in 4 hours of work a day, and leave leisure to the weekend. I guess it all depends on how much study time do you think you'll need, and whether you'll have more of daily homework or weekly/semester projects. Normally later on in college your schedule becomes a bit more flexible. Either way expect to have weeks where you don't get a lot of sleep.

And that's why I won't go to college. If I go too long without any free time to have fun, I go crazy. And not crazy in the "OMG IM INSAIN" way.

I agree with everything you said there, except for the part about how just doing schoolwork on the first five days of the week usually got you through your classes okay. That's usually not the case with me, at least not nowadays, but I will admit that it was more than easy enough to keep a weekend job and excel in all of my classes during my freshmen year. Each year just gets a little more difficult, though.

Yeah it does get more difficult, but the later years your schedule is a bit more, versatile, let's say. Usually after the first years none of your classes have regular homework (note usually). So this means you have more projects and longer things you could possibly do over the weekend or the 4 or so hours a day you would still have if you have a job. Now I'm not saying this won't be stressful, just saying it is possible if you are good with time management.
