The only "martial arts" I've done is work out with a Tae-Bo DVD. Apparently, it's a combination of Tae Kwon Do and Boxing. It's a good work out. I don't know how close the moves really are to the actual martial arts though. ?

On the first vid: Everything there IS capoeira. Note the characteristic moves, like falling in the 'negativa' (crouching with a leg stretched) and rolling away, etc. But it's show capoeira. Not the actual fight. As for the last two guys. Better, but you notice how it looks like two guys facing each other doing solos? They have almost no interaction. More on that below.

In the internet, you'll probably only find videos of people backflipping and jumping around saying it's capoeira; or two people miles away from each other doing 'kicking solos'. It's not like that. It's close. It's question and answer. Action and reaction. Dodge, counterattack, if there's room for it, fit in a nice flourishing move.

Just to remind people, 'cool flips and tricks' were included in capoeira just because it looks good. It became real part of it. BUT! It's not like they show in the movies. You don't step in front of your opponent and start jumping around. You must find a time, without exposing yourself to the enemy, in the rhythm and pace of the game, to fit in a stetic move. When it's done that way, it looks beautiful. Just beautiful.
