Hello everybody! Just got RPG Maker 3 in the mail yesterday. Thought I'd jump on internet to look for some stuff for it and found this place. Already have my first project coming down the pipe for it, so expect more details later!

hey, the serious rpgm users round here will be glad to have someone else who finishes games around here. i just... leave them halfway through.

yay, welcome! more memebers! if you really plan to finish your games you should request a development studio so you can post updates all specially in one place and stuff ^.^

Welcome there are some experienced rpg maker users here. Feel free to ask questions and stuff. So tell me more about your game give details.

I'm still working out the actual storyline, but here's some general information.

The Land:

The North Frontier:
A newly discovered land to the far north of the main continent Valaera. Hopes of new treasures and maybe even new trade partners brought the more adventurous Valearans here. For this story, this is the only map you'll travel on. Don't worry, I plan to put some nice plot devices in to keep things from getting repetitive.

Major Gruops/Syndicates/Factions:

Sect of the Crimson Soul:
One of the 3 major sects in this universe, and the only sect that makes an appearance in this story (Will introduce other sects in later games). Praying to Ghanima, the Holy Mother of Fire and Soul, followers of the Crimson Soul are all female. The history of this sect, along with the others sects, is a big part of the game so I cannot spoil it.

The Shining Templars:
An order of knights under the Royal Consolate. Earned their distinct title through their actions in the Alleagrian War, which pre-dates this story by 3 years. After which, they maintained their honored status by serving as peacekeepers and now as bodyguards for explorers in the newly discovered North Frontier.

The Royal Consolate:
Made up of the King, Queen,a representative from each of the 3 major sects, and a representative from each of the major cities in this universe. The Royal Consolate handles all broad-sweeping political and militaristic situations, leaving smaller matters such as inter-city trade to the individual city leaders. Still a fledgling government, however, as the Consolate has only recently been brought to power 1 year before this story. The general populous so far has mixed feelings about this new government, but nearly everyone is hopeful that what small ripples have occurred since it's inception are not precursors to tidal waves.

Characters/Protagonists/Antagonists:

Name: Daltin
Class: ????
Description: Our main hero. He has no memory of where he came from. However, that does not deter him from going on this adventure.

Name: Sheila
Class: Crimson Mage
Description: A follower of the Sect of the Crimson Soul. She hopes to one day become a representative serving on the Royal Consolate.


Name: Suvaeas (su-VAE-ee-us)
Class: Errant Templar
Description: Errant of the Shining Templars in charge of helping guard the Fortress of the North Star. Her family killed in the Alleagrian War, she earned her place in the Shining Templars when she picked up her father's fallen sword and fended off a sizeable unit of Servants of the Alleager (can't explain them, important to story).

Name: Delraich (del-RAE-eh-ick)
Class: Master Templar
Description: Acting General for the Shining Templars based in the North Frontier. One of the few left in his order who survived the Alleagrian War. Known for his ruthless tactics on the battlefield and hardened by the many horrors of war, he is a distant figure, but a strong influence on the goings-on in the North Frontier.





So, what do you think? Also, can I get a price estimate on one of the Max Drives that I'll need to get in order to port my game into the vault, or whereever you guys want me to put it?

As far as Max Drives, I think they're 30-40$.
