Sooo awesome!. almost 1 day away. Because its almost 12 am.

People need to be more specific when they say "graphics of 3". Does this mean "high-quality" or does this mean "realistic"? I don't want realistic. You can't have a cartoony game with RPGM3's graphics. Storyteller avatars aside. And if that screenshot is actually from the upcoming RPGM, so much for that.

It's a trade off. Yeah, 3's graphics were too serious, and therefore a little dry, but 2's graphics were like Trix, they were 'for kids'. The graphics of 2 said, "Surely, I can't be serious."

It would be nice to be able to have both, but I'd rather have the Shadow Hearts, Xenosaga, Shin Megami maturity over the Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing cutesy characters, objects, and monsters.

Having said that 3's clarity, texture, and vibrancy (especially in a sunny afternoon field) are essential. Regardless of the realistic vs cartoony debate, 3's quality makes 2 look droll and bland.

I'm not saying I want 2's graphics. Because yeah, 2 was somewhat cartoony for serious games. Not that you couldn't create serious stories on RPGM2, much like you can have goofy stories on RPGM3. But no, I'm looking for more of an in-between. Actually, Xenosaga's graphics I'd accept. They aren't trying to be as real-to-life as RPGM3's graphics. Those graphics can be used for goofy games easy enough.

EDIT: I should also add, it needs an assortment of goofy-looking characters. You know, slimes, goblins, and the like.

Actually the graphics are not that important.

If they bring a quality maker with sprites, it's just as good for me =) Most people don't see that sprites have a certain charisma that no 3D graphics will ever have. Or perhaps it's just me...

Anyway, when I said "graphics of 3", I meant the overall quality. As for style, I agree with Dray in that in-between style one.

I cannt beleive im hearing this ..... whatever console it comes out on im getting it...

if they do it on 360 we might be able to upload games onto the server that would be too good

i doubt its gonna be on wii but if they do hopefully they might stick with the cell shaded look.....

but im just thinking about the tile sets they should stick with 2d or celll shaded ... if they go 3d we better be able to use the cam..... (to make our own textures) hehe

I can honestly say this has stunned me....

its almost clear that from that rippled screen that it'll be 3D.

You can make out a destinct person shape, a sun (evening?), hills, and maybe some mountains to the right of the person figure.

A lot of people are going to be mad if this is an April fools joke. A lot of people....

I hope the news is true.
