A while ago, we mentioned RPG Tsukuru DS was coming to Japan next year. Well, they've updated their website. Take a look:

Ok so the first thing I thought of when I saw the pictures at the bottom of the main page was Lufia & The Fortress of Doom.

Some of that information implies that there will be no real custom graphics editor. Rather, you'd mod the existing chibi graphics. As translated at the bottom of this page:

At least this way I can still create a semi-furry game.

Sucks about not being able to import custom graphics and all... but then again, how would you in the first place?

Who ever did the translation was good; any Engrish was hardly noticeable.

Well, it's sprite customization IS it's anime maker. What I mean is a way to take data from another source... say a computer... and get it from there to the DS.

You couldn't use a stylus with RPGM1.

This is also true.

Though, I do all my sprite editing in photoshop. I get it as good looking as possible and then go ahead and send it to 16 bit. It takes care of all the shading and detailing for me that way. If DS version ever had a program that is as flexible as MSpaint, someone with your spriting skill would be set.
