Seeing as there are several new people here since the last time a thread like this was up, I thought it would be a good idea to get another one rolling.


I was a member of gamespot.com's forums. Through there, I ran into information on RPG Maker 1. Shortly after purchasing the game, I was interested in seeing what other games people have made looked like... so I got a Dex Drive to boot.

Now all I needed was a site. The people from Gamespot refered me to RPG Maker Magazine... but that was back in '03. But if you notice my join date, it wasn't until '06 that I joined. This was because I wasn't too interested in the forums. I downloaded most of the games, and would stop in and read whatever thread I felt like.

Eventually I broke down and joined... for whatever reason. But I'm glad I did because this is a community I'm proud to be a part of.

I had owned RPG maker 1 since it's release. But I wanted more help with it since I didn't understand switches. I did a google search for RPG Maker 1 and I got the RPG Maker Magazine. So I started lurking the site in about 2000-2001 but never joined the forums until this year.

When was issue 1.2 of the Mag released? I had a game listed in the issue...

2005-I evenually got around and found out about the game...I don't remember exactly when or how, but it sparked my interest simply because you don't have to know code to use it. At gamefaqs I went to the site and was curious to see if there was any active sites up. I figured since it was so old there wouldn't be any active sites. I learned about rpgmmag from there and decided to join.

Seeing a preview job open, I applied and passed with flying colors. So then I grew from there until I'm the guy you see now.

I was at the Pavilion and Ixzion was advertising his site. The end.
