Hey, guys. Just finished watching Part 1 of the Sonic 1 race and here are my thoughts:

That is if everything turns out okay. I plan on doing a test video tonight, maybe in google hangouts. I will use Xsplit because its great for Let's Plays and all that. Just letting everyone know!

Okay, so I did a test video and everything works fine. Except one thing, it picks up Google hangout audio. So your guys' voices will be picked up along with mine in the recording.

Oh, and my voice gets autotuny. I'm gonna have to do a another test.

EDIT: Maybe its because of stacking Hangouts with an emulator along with XSplit?

are you wearing headphones? Is it picking up the speaker output?

Yes, I use headphones with the Blue Yeti speakers to hear audio.

You'll have to turn down the volume of the hangout.

If you're wearing headphones- try setting xSplit to not record the speaker. Effectively, mute the speaker icon in xSplit for recording I think. You do not need a game audio recording anyways, and xSplit is putting your voice into the same track as that audio in the video I believe... and that'd be a huge problem.

I don't have much experience with xSplit besides streaming with it though. I usually use Hypercam 3 or Fraps.

Fay is absolutely right. Hit mute within xsplit to mute the speakers and just keep the mic active. Easy fix.

Btw, guys. If you could get me your files to the improv race we did after Sonic, I would like to do another time-lapse video. But I need everyone's files before I start if I am to do that.

Reason being that I've changed the way I've edited these things quite differently over the past months and seeing as this race is self contained in one part, I could get the editing process from beginning to end in one video.

It'll also give me something to upload the next friday...

Actually, I just found out that I'm going to be out of pocket friday and on the road thursday. If I could get the rest of the videos today, that would be extremely helpful. Sorry to spring it on you guys so quick.

Sunday would be best. For the MagCast of Saturdays. And also because Sunday is funday. I was told this by the truth of truths, being my terrible sense of humor. Sunday late afternoon would be ideal, for I am a snoozer and a half. Though if that doesn't work I'm more than understanding.
