With the turnout of last year, I think that anyone currently working on a game and could get out a demo... would be crazy not to show it of in the con. So this thread is for those who are interested in getting your game out there.

Even if you do not go and demo your game in person, your game will be played by the con members. This gives you live feedback of your work. These videos will be uploaded the same day they are played.

Because 2 of the games to be played will be the results of the Team Mag vs Team Pav RM Power Hour contest, which will be played in full, there are currently only 4 slots that will be open for the general public this year. Please don't delay requesting a spot!

New this year
All developers who request a slot are required to submit a work-in-progress (WIP) by December 31, 2011 11:59 PM EST. If the WIP is not turned in by this date, then this slot will be freed for someone else to claim until February 25, 2012. After that date, the developer may request their slot back if there is an opening available. This is to give another developer enough time to develop their game and turn it in.

I'll throw my hat into the ring this time, but considering my situation at the moment, I may ask to remove my name and allow the next person in line to take my slot. But keep it for now until I say otherwise. I hope that is acceptable. But anyway the data below is as such:

Name of the game: Unknown as of right now. Will be titled further along when I can come up with a name that is fitting for the game.

Platform: VX

General Time: It really depends. If I get as far as I'm hoping for a demo, I would say maybe about 2 hours. But if you do interact with all the NPCs and objects (to see the environment and character interactions), then it may take a lot of time.

Will I be able to update this information when I get a better idea? Right now it's pretty broad, but I see myself working on this more in the near future.

I am in the same boat as Syn. I would like to grab a spot while it is open. The game isn't where it needs to be for a demo, but I'm sure it could be by then.

Name of game: Well, ah... Unknown as well. Actually, I'd like to keep it that way. The plan is to reveal the game at MagCon.

Platform: RPGM1

General time: Probably around 30-60 minutes.

id like crystal shores to be demoed for once so i think ill nab that last spot. has anyone even played it?

edit: its several hours long. there is some technical problems too such as needing a dex drive to swap scenario around and using 3 cards to boot up.

Anyone who's been added to the sideboard, don't be discouraged. Keep working on your games in case you are able to take someone else's slot on January 1, 2012.

Anyone who's on the list, but miss their WIP date, keep working in case someone on the sideboard misses the turn-in date and you can get your slot back on February 26, 2012.

I'm going to go ahead and ask that you pull my name off the list and give it to someone who's got work done. My solo project hasn't gone anywhere for over a month. Just a lot trying to occupy my time and trying to get other things done. Should I get a working product, I'll send it to you in case you wanna try it as a bonus or something, if time permits.

I've extended the due date for games to March 3 since this year has a February 29th.

Because of recent events, there will be one extra game slot open. If anyone wants it, then put your name and game down and have it done and sent in by the deadline. There are no extensions because we seriously have to get everything converted and tie up loose ends before the event.

By March? I'd like to apply if that extra slot is still open. :D

Name of game: Gaia Saga - Chapter 1 (Name is still a work in progress, however, I don't think it'll change anytime soon)
Platform it's for: RPGM1.
General time presentation and playthrough will take: Somewhere between 1-2 hours if you're trying to find everything. Maybe 45-70 mins if not.

I have only been working on my game for about two weeks, however, I have chopped off 1/3 of a memory card already and progress is going very smoothly due to me having alot of free time right now and no PC to develop on instead.
Hell, I am ALMOST to a point that I would feel conferable giving out a short demo already.
My goal is to use up at least a whole Memory Card before I release the demo though, I am pretty sure I could hit it.

Also, if you want, I would convert my save/memory card to whatever format would suit you so you don't need to waste time on it, if you wish.

Actually, I want to start making my game on RPG Tsukuru 4. So, I guess I won't be able to release a demo.
I think I will be able to do more of what I am wanting to do if I work with Tsukuru4 instead of just RPGM1.

Actually, that brings me to a question.
Would I be able to release a RPG Tsukuru 4 game on here?
Though I don't know how many of you actually have the CD..Hmm
