Here's the group photo shots for this year's Magcon.

Much better than last year's, if I do say so myself.

The Gendo Pose... it is contagious.

Give us an executive office? This is what happens.

:linkgf = Image

I think it's funny that the person who hated the link emote the most ended up playing as link... and therefore made the exact same pose as the one he hates. Lulz.

Seeing as this was our first year to do this outside of any other convention... and all on our own, I think it went absolutely great. I had a blast and I'm looking forward to doing it again next year. This year was really good for showing us what we need to prepare for next year, so hopefully next year will go even better.

^I remember that all too well.

I think for next that, we need to set aside a lil time for a Magcon talent show, so I could do my performance. :P (Not high priority, mind you).

That's all I have so far.

I watched some of the Viddler clips. The games look pretty good. You guys are a bunch of geeks but I mean that in a good way (for the most part :D ). Why didn't some of you get on camera at all? Did you guys refer to each other by Mag name or personal name? It's too bad RPGM3 wasn't represented. I feel like I would have really enjoyed the previews and the geekdom but not really the marathon (just my opinion). How much did you guys sleep? Last but not least, the Viddler clips look like a great way to see each other's games, not just demos. I know you guys do "Let's Play" etc. but have you ever thought about doing reviews this way, maybe working your way from newest games toward older games in the style of G4. In other words (like X-Play) only presenting varying brief clips relevant to a script describing the pros and cons of the games, like a professional review clip. I think these would TOTALLY help Magonians see just how good some of these games are in the vault and each review need be only a minute or two so we would be inclined to watch them. I'm glad you guys had a good time.

We've already seen that talent (or severe lack thereof). NO NEED.

Now, I would have loved to go to Magcon, but Chattanooga is really far away for me.
I suggest having the Magcon in New York City, Baltimore, Wildwood, Philadelphia or Washington, DC. But everywhere except Washington DC is probably out of the question, so I should probably just shut up. :|

If NYC is "close enough" to you, where are you that Chattanooga is too far?

Co-signed with Dray. I mean, DC to NYC is pretty far.

And you could always bus to TN, like Dray did. It wouldn't be that much at all (Dray, help me).

Using public transporation, no less.

Anyway, seeing as I took the time to make playlists from all the videos (and not having anywhere better to put this particular one), here's the decathlon:

Chattanooga is 14 hours away. Washington DC is 2 miles away. And New York City is 1 3/4 hours away. This is by car. And by public transportation, New York City is 3 hours away. So maybe Washington DC is a better option for the Magonians interested because it is a more centralized location. And anyway, It may be a better idea for the location to be closer to the people in charge of this event. I'm a newbie, and even though I've been on the Pav for some time, I'm not well known.

Washington D.C. Is by far NOT the most centralized location for Magonians. Take all the active members, and some members that we talk to frequently off the Mag, and Chattanooga was the best choice for a central location. If more of the northern members wanted to go, then the itinerary would change, but we lack the northern interest or ability to go to a MagCon (money being an issue for some). But the number of Magonians in the south outweigh the Magonians in the north as far as interest and ability goes.

As far as interest that is likely true but ability entirely depends on where you are having it. I would have been completely able to go if it was in DC but I was not able to go to Tennessee both regarding time and money. But yes I agree, the most active and interested members tend to be in the south except for a few on the west coast and N.L.Y. who won't leave NYC.

I would like to note for the record...

I have not held a single MagCon in my home state of Virginia at all! Chattanooga was about 9 hours for me and Atlanta was about 10.5. This year, Chattanooga was about an equal distance away from everyone, save a few who were closer.

And unless the interested number of people changes, then it's unlikely that the spot will move too far from TN.

Yeah, I live in Pennsylvania. Too bad I'm not southern...
Well, even though I'm a huge fan of the RPG Maker series, I don't have the resources currently to go to a Magcon down south. Maybe in about 4 years, Like Magcon 2013 or 14.
