So, last night was pretty awesome. We've got some videos coming on the way, but getting them in a format that is supported by viddler and windows movie maker is proving a bit of a challenge. But you guys will see them soon enough.

Hey guys. Mr. Ixzion here!

On our viddler channel, we've uploaded the opening ceremonies as well as the first game video of Acre-age. :)

We're uploading them as we can.

What I've watched so far is great. It may not be for a few days before I can watch them in their entirety.

I hope you all like what is there in Survival 2. Which ain't much.

Hey guys, hope you're enjoying viewing MagCon thus far. I'm currently working on getting Josh's Adventure and SOE: Arc Arath uploaded to Viddler, so keep checking the channel.

We arevsitting at RedRobin's and busted out a rock-paper-sissors tourny. After an epic battle, Ix came out on top.

So, if you are keeping track of the videos as they upload, you'll know that the decathalon is being uploaded. If you are interested, here is the excel sheet we were using to take score.

Dude, bravo on the first vid for my game. that's the reaction I was hoping for. "NO. NO. f*ck THAT". had me cracking up, scripted or genuine, it was great. I rewatched that one part over and over.

Well, here's the thing.

We did do the original of the video and it was completely unscripted. But after forcing us to play this game, we decided to get some revenge. Haha.

That's still coming. :p

Yeah, it still is a little embarassing to sing that song... but I think it was worth it to Mag Roll you, Valk.

And yeah... that game can still go f*ck its self. I still feel like we missed something.

Not as embarassing as Magonians of Evil. :P

You did miss something. the end of the demo. where you finish the battle and it just says "DEMO OVER" and then again locks up RPGM and forces you to reset, adding to the annoyance factor.

I went in and did a bunch of commentary to both SEQUEL: THE DOOR and Smitpok's videos. with SEQUEL, I tell you exactly how to beat it, kirk's stats, why the battle's like that, how the 3 hour time stamp is because I worked really hard to balance the battle so it wasnt hard, just tedious as hell, and to make sure that you absolutely couldnt set the AI to beat it for you. the battle is designed so you have to pay attention through the whole thing, and constantly manage status effects while just chipping away at the bastard. as far as difficulty goes, it's an easy battle. as far as patience goes, it's well, you know. you experienced it.

a LOT of effort went into that battle. the 3:33 timestamp was sheer luck. it doesnt count all the changes I made that I decided didnt benefit the battle, and that I just reloaded after an hour or so of work.

Just so you know, across my many playtests, the average amount of turns it took for me to beat it was 170.

Please look forward to the full game coming this summer.

Good. Because had we experienced that, too, after going through what I assume would have been countless hours trying to hold out against Kirk Cameron and his mighty hand of self-righteousness, I would have come hunting you down.

... I still feel like only Dray should have been punished for disobeying that obvious command at the start of the game, though. Why did the rest of us too suffer for his cardinal sin? :P

oh, he didnt mess up anything. going down just cycles you back to the start point of the demo.

now if he had gone right, that would have been messy. going right will throw you all the way across the map. you would have had to navigate the first stage, which is a mazz of invisible move location events that constantly throw the title screen in your face every time you touch one.

that first stage was basically me trying to see if I could make a normal stage from DOOR: THE GAME more annoying. and I could. I just had to cover the map with invisible events that pushed you further away from the goal the closer you got to it. and show the title screen over and over. the flowery bushes are there as landmarks to seemingly make it easy to find your way to the goal. but they're set up in a way that you're just led right into the teleportation events without even realizing it, because they don't seem to have an actual layout. they seem randomly thrown about. but they're carefully placed, and it's all to mess with you.

It's the only stage I have planned to be like that. the second stage is... okay, I have no idea how the f*ck to describe the second stage. it'll be in the extended demo hitting in a day or two. but to see the second stage, you'll of course have to beat kirk.

Well, after you explained exactly how you tried to balance the fight... I guess I do see how you got that time. Specially seeing what your goal was. Playing it, we had no idea. We just thought that it had max HP, MP, and 0 costing magic spells. I really wouldn't have minded if Dray left the spell names appearing because, as you said, they were really good.

So yeah, even though the demo was a pile of curdled pig vomit, you achieved your goal.
