Is there any way for me to replace the current download I have for my game, "Under World 3"? The one on this site is a very outdated one and the current one on http://rpgmaker.net/games/1333/ contains many improvements...probably the last version I will make for quite a while. Anyways, if I can do it myself, I would love to update my game...otherwise, I would definitely appreciate if someone could help me out. I already browsed around to see if someone asked the same thing but couldn't find anything...so I apologize if this has already been covered in a topic. Thanks a bunch!!

Actually, it is quite possible to do this yourself.

0. Be sure you are logged in.
1. In your SSA Profile, click on your game.
2. At the top left of the game profile, you will see an "Edit" link. Click it.
3. Scroll down until you see the "Game File" area, browse for the file, and click on Update Game.

It shall be done.

Edit: I see that your file upload is clocking in at 90MB. The max here is 60MB. Is there some way to get that down?

Oh damn...max is 60? Oh I have tried many, many times to get the game size down. It mostly comes from music and I use so many different midis...not to mention the few MP3's that I am using. That alone is around 20 megs of space. There are quite a few unused midi's and such, but going down that list and picking out the midi's that I haven't used could take quite some time...which I don't really have much of these days since I'm almost to finals week in school. So I dunno, I had no idea the max was 60 megs... And I guess the best solution for me to do would be to downgrade the mp3's made for my game, but that would really make some nasty sound quality. Would I just be able to link to that other site in order to download my game? I mean, that would save this site from having to host a 90 meg game...cause I don't know how willing I am to getting the file size down that much :\

I decided to boost the limit to 100MB for you. Go ahead and upload.

Hmmm...does it seem to have a wait-period after I upload the file for it to be usable? I uploaded the newest version twice and downloaded the game twice...both times the game remained the original, old, flawed version. Perhaps if I just deleted the original file and then uploaded the new version...? If that's possible. Honestly I don't mind losing my few ratings or my 50 downloads if that's what I have to do to put up the latest version.

I've gone ahead and deleted the original file from the server. Go ahead and update again. If that doesn't work (but it should), then I'll just download it and upload it myself.

Just uploaded and it works fine!! :party :rockon Feels good to have the updated version of my game being passed out to people instead of the extremely buggy one. Anyways, thanks for the help man! Much appreciated.

I kind of wonder how my Under World 2 game got so many downloads... I seriously have no idea how that happened. I just came to this site one day, looked at the rankings and nearly shat myself on the spot.

Well, it being an XP game helped, assuredly. But yeah, apparently it's way more popular than you thought. Too bad some of these people haven't posted any comments! *glares out into interspace*

Yeah... I think it would be wicked cool if you could just post comments as "anonymous" so that people didn't have to sign up in order to leave comments. Perhaps that would encourage a lot more comments or feedback? I definitely know that I'm turned off from leaving comments if I have to go through the hassle of signing up for another site/account.

Oh well...just a thought. But yeah, I was just shocked to see it get that many downloads, since I only promoted the game in a few different forums. Just not sure where all the downloaders came from.

I wonder if there'd be some way to introduce feedback for guest users, with messages that have to be approved in order to prevent against spam.

Possible, sure. I could do that "eventually", meaning that it's a feature that I'll get to when I'm not so bogged down with stuff.

Hey man, think you could delete the file for Under World 3 again? I just fixed a couple of major bugs that I've been struggling with. I can't picture myself updating it anymore anytime soon so after this UW3 update, it should most likely be good for life...unless I get a complaint of a major bug that I missed. But I'm pretty sure I've fixed all the MAJOR bugs. I know there are still small ones lingering around, but oh well. No game is perfect.

Go ahead and try to upload it again. I made some modifications to the system, so it should simply take your file. If not, then I'll delete the file.

Dude, awesome. Just uploaded it and it seemed to work. The game file is replaced and officially updated. Thanks for all your help. If only I could get as many downloads as I did for Under World 2. Under World 3 is improved in every way possible...such a better game.
