youd think that after 10 years of work that id finally be satisfied with all the particulars and that the only hang up would be the actual game itself. of course this isnt true with me.

originally i had a system where every stat was high to give that ff feel. i realized that for a long game it would kill me and each level up would be impossible to balance. i settled for the 35 point rule and left it at that.

as i was balancing this card i noticed that my max hp of 800 felt low and my strength and other values where very high into 600 in some cases. even if most character hit around the lv 50 mark it still meant very low hp and high stats.

now ive changed it to have higher hp values and lower stat value. my max regular stat is about 5 for regular stats and ive upped magic to around 10ish max. my hp had to improve dramatically, and thus ive set a high limit at 28 per level up as max. to achieve all this ive had to add 15 additional points, making my characters have a 50 point per level amount.

now i hope that every level will not be so significant a boost as to make my characters too powerful and at the same time wont make my enemies laughably weak. the main increase will be hp which means characters will survive longer with a level up. to counter high hp increase i will set my magics to take more damage.

of course i will need to re balance the entire game but this is fairly simple.
