In RPGM3, I have been trying to figure out a way to make Switches open doors when they are turned "on". I have tried everything and there doesn't seem to be an option in either the Layout or Event editor to open a "door" or even move an object or anything of the kind. Is opening doors with Switches a possibility and if so how?

I think you have to make an item with Special Abilities in order to open a door. Like the "Tower Key" or something.

Don't quote, but I think so.

Thanks, I'm gonna try to poke my head in when I can. Things are still really busy here at Agetec though. :cry

I want time to make my own RPG Maker 3 game - the one I never had time to make with 2.

It'll be nice to see a game from you. Of course, you wouldn't be spared a critical review. :p

You caught the Mag with our pants down, as the new forum mod was installed last night. A lot of the stuff we had is gone, but I'm working now to get it back.

Also, I just gave you a special title so that no one will think you're a newb. :)

Dave, let me say thank you and your crew/team for bringing this state wide, and nice ta see you :)

Ixz: I'd put this in a different forum, but I'm not quite allowed there again yet. How exactly do I put my review in the new format?

Thanks for the title. I do think I deserve it :P

And you're welcome for RM3. I hope you enjoy it. It's definitely a "story teller's" game but the ease of use and coolness is unmatched.

I was wondering about the loss of content thing... someone posted on the Agetec board that you guys had screens of all the characters (and stuff) here. But, I didn't see them anywhere. As you may remember I was actually making a guide of all the art assets in the game like characters and such, but I got too busy to finish it. If you need screenshots of that stuff just ask.

Gotta go home for the weekend....

Take care.

D.

Oh, we still have that. It's just in this forum:

http://rpgmmag.com/forums/index.php?f=2 ... a2436d17e6

It's linked to in the News Room on the main site, too, for easy access. :D

I do enjoy it, more so that it's in the way of my RPGM2 productions, but yeah, when I got my hands on it, I just couldn't tell myself it was real, as the graphics, easyness, and features where just stunning.
Some complain about its limitations, but I dont mind em, so once again, thanks :).

Heh, yeah I read that in the manual the next day after posting this. Guess I looked over it too quickly the day before. Thanks anyway AsciiDave.

Dave, good job on the game man. I'm enjoying it,
definitely a big step up man...except I do wish sometimes it was a little more customizeable, though the fluidity is remarkable compared to RM2.

Is the event occurance the same as the event condition? Because that is where i put in "Dungeon Switch ON" and it didn't ever switch to mode 2.

What i was trying to do is: you walk by an event and it tells you to flip the switch then, after you flip the switch the event changes to mode 2 and plays out.

I tried it a few different ways and couldn't get it at all. Thnx to any posts that help me out.
