Do anglers understand or like angles? I think they should!

@sumisem

I wasn't trying to refer to fishing in my joke in any way other than use a traditional term for fisherman to instead mean someone who is good at handling angles mathematically.

I think the origin of angler has the root "anga" which means "hook" which makes sense because a hook, like an angle is really just a line bent at some point, but yeah, my joke was not about fishing per se.

*blink* ... ... that makes very very little sense to me. this would possibley be a good time to give up.

if i said i was giving up because i'm a chef would that be funny? (given that i'm not a chef, and cooking has little to do with giving up?) .. (just trying to see if i at least have the premise of making a joke like this.)

You don't seem to know how to combine the ingredients of my joke. Then again you never claimed to be a chef? :lol

^ yeah but that one makes sense. chefs combine ingredients as the basis of their job. mathematicians may fish in their free time but it's not something they do for their job. fisherman may do math but again, not as a major part of their job.

While chef's combine ingredients, chef's don't combine ingredients of JOKES (unless they are a really bad chef and/or work at Bennihanna).

Mathematicians don't use angles in the form of hooking (remeber when someone 'angles' they are 'hooking' or putting themselves in position to snatch something like a fisherman) but mathematicians do use angles to solve problems.

It's all because Sumisem couldn't get a perfectly good joke. :P

Do you guys consider computer science to be within the set of mathematics or its own distince related set.
