Ok. I think most of us can relate to this topic. Either you needed help or a friend..

Someone can't stay at there home do to a fight.

Someone can't stay at there home due to a fire.

And anything else you can think of why people can't or don't
want to be at there home.

Would you take a friend in?
State why or why not.

It depends. If it's a close friend (like the two guys who helped come up with the Ultimate Story), I would agree without much hestitation, because I know I could trust them in my private space.

If it was anyone else, I would be very skeptical, because I don't know if they'll do anything during the course of the night, like steal my stuff and scram.

I don't really call people friends unless I can trust them.

They normally need to prove them selves as a bad person before I decide other wise.

So someone that has shown to be someone you can call a close friend.

I would. I know they would let me stay at their home too if I needed it.
Why? Because I trust them.

If I could absolutely trust them, then I would.

If I had even the slightest doubt, no.

I can't be that mean

Depends on the friend, I would never let some of my friends stay with me unless I have a big apartment or a house.

I was in that situation when my house burned down and I stayed with a friend and his folks the year after graduation. I was there for something like seven months before I could finally afford to move out.

Sometimes it can be hard. People don't always get along. People have bad habits that you don't always know about until you live with them.

It is something to think about I think.

When I think of the friends I would take in, I think of family, and of friends that I see on a daily basis, and trust very well.

Other people, I would probably not let them in.

How and why notwithstanding, I would not let them in my house.

A friend that is really my friend can stay at my house anytime, especially when something bad happens to him/her. It doesn't have to be one of those True Friendship things. If it's a person I can actually trust to some degree, yeah. But the amount of eye I'll be keeping on the person varies depending on how much I trust him/her.

Over the internet? Iunno... probably only someone who I've known for long enough and well enough to trust. Like someone who I know the address of, have seen pictures, etc.

I'm on the fence regarding this topic, I normally say no to letting them stay at my place. However, I do like to help and have helped anyone in dire need, but whether I can trust them in my pad either leaving them alone OR being present at all times, is a definite trust issue. Perhaps it's just the mentality up here... Not so much the company I keep. I am picky about who I keep as company to begin with...
For me, it also depends on the situation really, and I certainly wouldn't want anyone for too long. I hate it when people overstay their welcome and begin slowly mooching offa ya...

i'd prolly always let anyone stay with me if they needed to. and lots of times i'd prolly get screwed over or something. *sigh* that's me?

i don't like staying at other people's houses though. i always feel really bad, even if it's like one night and they are my best friend cus i always feel like i'm mooching ;__; unless it's a sleepover party kind of thing and stuff. not just like 'i need a place to stay' thing

it's threads like this that make me realise why i have no friends. =P
