I bought a pet hair buzzer last night. And now Lunar has a new look. Took off all his body hair leaving the fur on his head,tail and feet. I'm hoping this will cut down on the amount of shedding I find all over my home and I will be waking up allergy free for once in over 6 years.

Kinda funny. My other cats are now hissing at him because he don't smell the same since his hair cut. lol

I started on Buddy last night and now hes got a big bald spot. It was getting late. So I left him looking like he got beat up.

Odin will then be next on my list. And I'm not looking forward to it. Hes the most unsocial of the three.

I guess that depends on what "just like" means. Every mammal has skin...

They don't look just like us when you shave their fur.

Yeah, but how often do you see it on other animals? I think one of the reasons that many do not see us as animals is because our hair is not like fur, which is really just short, hair situtatied condensed on the body.

If you shaved a chimpanzee, it would look A LOT more like a human. Likewise if a human is REALLY hairy, you can start to see the 'animal' relationship.

One time at the zoo, I saw a chimp's elbow through his hair and my god did it look human.

Dude, is it even healthy for the cats to be shaved? At the very least, they'll be catching colds more easily. ^^

My cats only have back claws. Because of all the remolding
I'm doing to my home I don't need them digging there front nails into nothin. Also having a big eyed pug puppy would easily get an eye knocked out. So I only had to worry about the back claws. And yes I still got a bit scratched but nothing too bad.

I'm not too worried about the cats getting sick. My cats are welcome to sleep in the bed or where ever they think its warm. Theres also people who breed bald cats. So if there not worried then why should I be.

shaving Buddy. His coat looks like a chopped mess. lol

It's cool how you can see the stripes. One time on a animal rescue show they had to shave sections of a zebra to the skin, and you could still see the stripes on the skin.
